Adam Driver Of "Girls" Is Set To Play The Villain in "Star Wars: Episode VII"

Adam Driver, most notable for his role of Adam on Girls, is reported to be “this close” to signing a deal to star in the latest installment of the Star Wars franchise.

According to Variety, specific details are not known at this time but “the character is said to be in the vein of iconic ‘Star Wars’ villain Darth Vader.”

The main thing that had been stopping the actor from closing the deal with Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm was his scheduling commitments to the Lena Dunham HBO comedy, Girls. However, reports indicate that the scheduling issues have been resolved and that a deal is likely to be finalized soon.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to open in theatres on December 15, 2015.
