Oscar Winner Lupita Nyong'o Close To Being Cast In "Star Wars: Episode VII"

It’s being reported that Oscar winning actress and all-around amazing human being, Lupita Nyong’o, is this close to being cast in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII film.

The Hollywood Reporter has said that while it is unclear for which role Lupita is being considered, it is possible that she could be up for the role of a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi, a role “which has been described as a non-Caucasian role.”

Lupita is the latest in a long string of actors rumoured to be up for a role in the film. We previously reported that Girls actor Adam Driver has been cast as the main villain for the latest installment in the Star Wars franchise, though no official announcement from Disney has yet to be made.

Other actors that are rumoured to be in consideration for roles are Jesse Plemons (Breaking Bad), Matthew James Thomas (Spider-Man: Turn of the Dark on Broadway), Ed Speelers (Downton Abbey), Jon Boyega, and Ray Fisher.
