It seems that Star Wars: Episode VII is quickly picking up steam, with casting rumours circling almost non-stop.
Disney and Lucasfilm announced yesterday that principal photography for the latest installment of the mega-successful franchise will begin in May 2014! Filming will take place at London’s Pinewood Studios.
In addition to that, we now have our first key points about the plot. The film will take place 30 years after the end of Star Wars: Episode VI Return Of The Jedi and “will star a trio of new young leads along with some familiar faces.”
The film, directed by J.J. Abrams, has yet to officially announce any main cast members, but many believe that Girls actor Adam Driver is set to play the main villain, while Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o is close to being cast in a role, that remains unidentified, but could be that of a sith.
Star Wars: Episode VII will be released in theatres on December 18, 2015.
