"Captain America: The Winter Solider" Brings In $96.2M Opening Weekend, "Captain America 3" Announced
"Captain America: The Winter Solider" earned over $96.2 million in its opening weekend. Not surprisingly, a third installment has already been announced.

It definitely pays to be a Marvel superhero!

Captain America: The Winter Solider brought in an incredible domestic gross of $96.2 million in its opening weekend. Not surprisingly, the film has already earned over $303 million worldwide, after having been released internationally on march 26 and in North America on April 4.

The film, starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Robert Redford, and Samuel L. Jackson, sees Captain America and Black Widow facing off against a powerful assassin named The Winter Solider.

If you haven’t seen the film yet, get excited to finally watch it with its official trailer:

Given the remarkable, but not at all surprising success, of their latest superhero flick, Disney has already set a May 6, 2016 release date for Captain American 3. There’s no word yet on the plot of the film, but it is confirmed that Chris Evans will once against reprise his role as Captain America. Given the release date of Captain’s third movie, we can pretty much guess that it will compete with DC’s Batman Vs Superman 2016 release.
