Chiwetel Ejiofor Could Be The Next "James Bond" Villain
Oscar nominated actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, is apparently the front-runner to play the next Bond villain, opposite Daniel Craig as 007.

After an incredibly successful year with his film 12 Years a Slave, it looks as if things aren’t ready to slow down for Chiwetel Ejiofor who is rumoured to be in consideration to play the next Bond villain.

According to Variety, Chiwetel “is the top choice to play the villain in the next installment in the Bond series.” Logistics, like scheduling, would still need to be worked out should he take on the role. However, no official offer has yet to be made to the Oscar nominated actor.

Actors who have portrayed Bond villains in the past include Mads Mikkelsen in Casino Royale, Gert Fröbe in Goldfinger, and, most recently, Javier Bardem in Skyfall.

We already know that Daniel Craig will return to the series for the upcoming film. It will be his fourth time playing James Bond, having already starred in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Skyfall.

Also returning for the latest film is Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, and Ben Whishaw. Sam Mendes, who directed Skyfall, is set to direct this film as well. John Logan will write the script, while Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will serve as producers.

Variety has also said that the studio behind production is looking for one Scandinavian and one British woman who can play the new Bond girls.

There are no plot details about the latest Bond film, but it is expected to meet its November 6, 2015 release date, with filming set to begin this summer.
