With every update that comes out about the new Guardians of the Galaxy film, we get more and more excited to finally see it!
The film’s director, James Gunn, spoke with Entertainment Weekly and revealed some pretty interesting plot points. He first confirmed that Thanos is “the head of the snake,” which means that he will be in the film, however small his role, using motion capture. Gunn also spoke about another upcoming Marvel project by saying that “We’re definitely connected to ‘Avengers 3.'”
Discussing Chris Pratt‘s character Star-Lord, Gunn said “he was abducted from Earth (Missouri) at age 8 and raised in a group of thieves and smuggles called the Ravagers. He’s good with the ladies and a little bit of a dick and very lucky.”
He continued by saying that “Thanos slaughtered [Gamora’s] family and Nebula’s, then raised them together as siblings. They were bio engineered to become living weapons, so he’s really good at killing people.”
Oh, and don’t forget these images, released on Marvel.com, that feature Chris Pratt heavily (not complaining) as well as more of the cast and behind-the-scenes action:
Only a few days ago, MTV released an exclusive first clip of Guardians of the Galaxy that features Chris Pratt attempting to escape capture.
Guardians of the Galaxy also stars Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper, and will hit theatres on August 1, 2014.
