Remember back in December when we shared with all of you the amazing Harry Potter fan film that depicted the end of Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald’s relationship and the death of Albus’ sister, Ariana? Of course you do, because not only was it a great story, but it had great acting and wonderful special effects.
Now, the powers-that-be behind The Greater Good are looking to bring us more fan film magic with Severus Snape and The Marauders, a short film that tells the “story about Snape’s final confrontation with the Marauders, and the pivotal moment he joins the death eaters.”
Also, how could you be anything but positively giddy after seeing this poster for the film? Half-Blood Prince, FTW:
The description of the short film, as taken from the Indiegogo page, says:
Snape, Lily, and The Marauders have graduated Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At a local pub, James Potter and his friends reminisce about their last seven years, and contemplate their future. All seems bright for these four friends despite the darkness that awaits them, until Snape arrives. Thinking about the war they are to join and the part Snape might play, James decides to do something about Snape once and for all.
Included on the page are a few samples of concept art by Dhyana Zagri:
The film has cast Zachary David as Peter Pettigrew, Garrett Schweighauser as James Potter, Kevin Allen as Sirius Black, Paul Stanko as Remus Lupin, Dani Jae as Lily Evans, and Mick Ignis as Severus Snape.
The film, directed by Justin Zagri, will be shot in LA. They are looking to raise $39,000 to cover the costs of production, equipment, VFX, costumes, and more! If you want to, you can still make a donation to their campaign.
