Wes Bentley is set to join the cast of the upcoming fourth season of American Horror Story. Set to appear in the show’s two-part Halloween episode, Bentley will play Eddie, “a dark tormentor from Kathy Bates’ past who is hell-bent on revenge.”
Wes Bentley has previously been seen in American Beauty and, more recently, as Seneca Crane in The Hunger Games film series. In addition to Bates, he joins returning cast members Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, and Evan Peters.
This season’s incarnation of the terrifying FX series, titled fully as American Horror Story: Freak Show, follows Jessica Lange and her group of “freaks” and centers on one of the last freak shows in the U.S.
Aside from worrying about the night terrors that I will definitely be having because of this upcoming season, I’m most interested to see what kind of freaks Ryan Murphy plans to incorporate into the show.
This season will be Jessica Lange’s last appearance on the series. She previously starred in seasons 1-3.
The Halloween episodes, which will feature Bentley, are tentatively set to air on October 21 and October 28.
