Details about the Blue-ray/DVD release of The Legend of Korra Book 3: Change have been revealed. This should be enough new information to get us by until the release of Book 4 in 2015.
Fans can expect to be able to get their hands on the Book 3 on December 2, 2014, which is the perfect time to buy yourself, or another Korra fan in your life, the best present of all for Christmas!
With regards to special features, IGN reports that fans can the expect the Blu-ray to include audio commentary from the creators and the crew for each of the 13 episodes (only 4 episodes on the DVD), and 13 behind-the-scenes featurettes, which includes the always entertaining animatics.
The cover art for the Blu-ray is the same image that’s used on The Legend of Korra: The Art of the Animated Series Book Three: Change, coming out January 2015. Korra, with her airbending staff, is standing in front of the air temple mountain where Tenzin had taken the newly revealed airbenders to train. It was also there that the Red Lotus attacked and kidnapped the airbenders, leaving Tenzin beaten and bruised to be used as bait for Korra.
It would seem safe to say that Book 4 won’t be far off from Book 3’s Blu-ray/DVD December 2 release date. It was also recently revealed that the fourth season would be titled Book 4: Balance and the show’s co-creators hinted that it is currently in post-production.
The Blu-ray version can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon.
