"The Originals" Star Claire Holt Reportedly In The Running For "Supergirl" Role
According to reports, "The Originals" star, Claire Holt, is currently in the running for the role of "Supergirl" on the upcoming CBS drama.

If you were worried that you weren’t going to be seeing much of Claire Holt after she left her role on The Originals, then you might not have to worry for much longer.

According to The Wrap, Holt is currently in the running to take on the lead role of Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl for upcoming CBS drama series.

The highly-anticipated series will follow 24 year old Kara, Superman’s younger cousin who escaped from the planet Krypton before it was destroyed. Kara has lived on Earth for years, pretending to be a normal human. Eventually, she decides to embrace her powers and take on the role the identity for Supergirl.

Supergirl will be produced by Greg Berlanti (Arrow and The Flash) and Ali Adler (Chuck).

Holt left The Originals near the end of season 1 but has since returned to the show for smaller appearances. It’s unlikely, however, that she’ll return to her role as Rebekah Mikaelson, considering she was recently cast in the NBC drama, Aquarius.

Do you think Claire Holt is the right choice to play Supergirl? Who would you pick to take on the role?
