On Sunday, The CW announced which of their shows will be getting an additional season. As it turns out, every single show from their Fall 2014 lineup has been renewed.
Arrow, Jane the Virgin, Supernatural, The 100, Reign, The Flash, The Originals, and The Vampire Diaries will all be sticking around for at least one more season.
“Each of these series have helped define what The CW is today, a network that is home to smart, provocative, quality programming, targeting a savvy adult audience,” said CW president, Mark Pedowitz, in a press release. “By picking up these shows now, our executive producers can start planning next season’s storylines, and rolling these shows out throughout next season guarantees The CW will have more proven original series for our fall, midseason and summer 2016 line-ups.”
The fact that every one of their Fall 2014 shows has been renewed only demonstrates how confident The CW is in their lineup and reiterates just how popular their selection of TV series is amongst young adult viwers. It also really validates the early success, both with critics and in ratings, of new shows The Flash and Jane the Virgin.
