Remember Aylin Bayramoglu? She’s perhaps best known for her appearance on season 2 of Oxygen’s The Glee Project. While Bayramoglu made it to the final three, we haven’t heard much from the burgeoning young star – unless of course you’re following her on social media – until today.
Side Note: She was my personal favourite to win and I was incredibly disappointed when she didn’t.
Bayramoglu has been cast in a series regular role for the upcoming CW drama pilot, Cheerleader Death Squad that centres around a disgraced CIA agent who becomes a teacher at an elite prep school in Washington, D.C. During him time there, he realizes that many of the school’s students have access to important people through personal connections. He decides to train a few of these students “to be his eyes and ears into the world of international espionage and help him earn his way back into the agency.”
Bayramoglu will play Fatima, a lonely girl who seems to go unnoticed in the halls of the school.
The premise of the show sounds more suited towards a cheesy comedy, but I’ll hold out judgement because anything that has to do with espionage and danger is something that I very much want to watch.
The pilot is written by Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, Under The Dome showrunner Neal Baer, and Blue Bloods executive producer Dan Truly. It will be directed by Mark Waters.
