Jessica Lange Is Officially Leaving “American Horror Story” After Four Seasons: “I’m Done”

Jessica Lange Is Officially Leaving "American Horror Story": "I'm Done"
Jessica Lange confirmed at PaleyFest that she is officially leaving the "American Horror Story" TV series.

After months and months of speculation and a bunch of “will she or won’t she,” Jessica Lange has officially announced that the most recent season of American Horror Story, sub-titled “Freak Show,” was her last.

Lange broke the news to fans during the American Horror Story: Freak Show panel at PaleyFest in Los Angeles:

“I’m done. You know, we’ve had a great run here. I mean, I have absolutely loved doing these four characters that I’ve had the opportunity to play. In all the madness, I’ve loved the writers and my actors and Ryan [Murphy] and the whole, I mean, insanity of it.”

Lange has been the glue of the series ever since season one. No matter what viewers have thought about each season, Lange has always been praised for her chameleon-like acting abilities, having taken on four different roles throughout her time on the show. No matter what she does, Lange is pure gold.

It’s already been announced that the next season of AHS will be sub-titled “Hotel” and will feature Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, and Cheyenne Jackson.

Bye, Jessica. It’s been sweet.
