Well, it is definitely happening, folks. After 20 years since the show’s series finale, Full House is returning to our lives (and not just in reruns).
I previously reported that Netflix was planning a Full House spinoff series, titled Fuller House, that would revolve around the eldest Tanner daughter, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), and her childhood best friend, Kimmy Gibble (Andrea Barber).
Now, Netflix has confirmed that the series is officially happening, with a 2016 premiere date. So far, we know that the show will revolve around a recently widowed D.J. Tanner who has two rambunctious boys, with another child on the way, who gets her BFF and her sister, Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) to move in.
So, basically, the show is taking on the same premise as the original? Interesting.
As of now, talks are underway to have Bob Saget (Danny), Dave Coulier (Joey), Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (Michelle), and Lori Loughlin (Becky) return as guest-stars.
I just pray to God that this isn’t another Girl Meets World fiasco.
