Fresh of the heels of last night’s season 6 premiere, ABC Family has already released a exciting new Pretty Little Liars teaser for episode 2, “Songs of Innocence.”
Just under 20 seconds long, the new teaser hints at the girls’ emotional and psychological recovery after being trapped in Charles’ underground bunker for well over 3 weeks. It was very clear during episode 1, “Game On, Charles,” that in the short time jump between their first and final weeks in Charles’ clutches, Hanna, Aria, Spencer, and Emily underwent some sort of severe trauma, thought what actually happened remains to be seen.
Watch the full teaser below:
“What if this is some sort of hallucination, like we never really got out?” Hanna asks her three friends as they gather around Spencer’s hospital bed. The teaser then shifts to Hanna, seated cross-legged on her bedroom floor, being asked by her mother, “What happened to you in that room?”
The teaser then flashes images of Emily firing a gun, Spencer frantically reaching for one of three large, red buttons, and Alison asking her father, “Who is Charles DiLaurentis?”
The episode’s synopsis teases even more of what viewers can expect:
“The girls may have gotten out of the Dollhouse but what happened to them during their time of captivity has lasting effects. With worried loved ones watching over them, the PLLs are home and trying to heal, with not much success. Even with suspected tormentor Andrew in custody, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer fear they are far from safe.
Meanwhile, Alison must deal with her past indiscretions and her notoriety around Rosewood.”
Pretty Little Liars season 6, episode 2, “Songs of Innocence,” will premiere June 9 at 8PM EST on ABC Family.
