Caitlyn Jenner is arguably, at this moment, one of the biggest stars in the world – maybe even bigger than step-daughter, Kim Kardashian.
The former Olympic athlete, who made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair last week, is reportedly getting a massive payday for her upcoming E! docu-series, I Am Cait.
If reports are correct, Jenner is expected to earn $5 million for the show – the largest amount “ever paid by the US channel for reality show fronted by a solo star.”
According to a Radar Online source, “It’s the biggest paycheck ever given by E! for a solo reality show, and Caitlyn’s agent was relentless in getting her the huge payday.
“At one point, talks between the network and E! had broken down, because nobody wanted to pay her more than $2 million.
“Caitlyn’s agent then began informal talks with other networks, and E! quickly came back to the table, ready to pay $5 million.”
Uh, good. If any reality star is deserving of the attention, and the money that comes with it, it’s Caitlyn Jenner. Her brave actions speak for an entire community of people and provide a platform, to fight ignorance and hate, that might not otherwise be available.
I Am Cait will premiere July 26 on E!
