New details on J.K. Rowling's highly-anticipated "Harry Potter" stage play have been released and fans are freaking out!

New details regarding J.K. Rowling‘s highly-anticipated Harry Potter stage play, set to open in London’s West End, have been released.

Originally thought to tell the story of Harry Potter’s life pre-Hogwarts, the show will instead focus on the life of Harry’s parents, Lily and James Potter, and will be titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Tickets for the show will be available in the fall.

According to The Daily Mail, “The Cursed Child delves into what happened to Harry’s parents — Lily Evans Potter and James Potter — before they were killed by Lord Voldemort, forcing an infant Harry to be raised in miserable circumstances by his mother’s sister, Petunia, her horrid husband Vernon and their spoiled son Dudley.”

Rowling herself took to Twitter on Friday morning to shed some light on the show’s recent changes:

Given the fact that The Cursed Child will focus on James and Lily, fans are expecting other popular characters to make appearances as well, like James’ best friends Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew.
