Merida From Disney's "Brave" Is Joining "Once Upon A Time" Season 5 And She's Already Been Cast
The fiery-haired Scottish lass is joining "Once Upon a Time" season 5! Find out which actor will play her, right here.

Season 5 of Once Upon a Time is gearing up to be a season filled with surprises, especially with the latest announcement that Merida from Disney’s 2012 film, Brave, will be joining the cast.

The new addition to the ABC series was announced on Saturday at the Once Upon a Time panel at San Diego Comic-Con. There’s been no word at this point as to what her plotline will entail, but given the show’s proven ability to incorporate popular Disney characters with relative ease and success, I have no doubt that Merida will find her groove on the show in no time.

The show’s creator and executive producer, Adam Horowitz, did announce, however, that Amy Manson will be taking on the role of the fiery-haired Scottish princess. Manson’s past credits include Being Human, Misfits, and Atlantis.

Horowitz also shared this new Dark Swan teaser from season 5:

The end of season 4 saw Emma Swan, the show’s main protagonist, take up the mantle of the Dark One in order to save Regina from once again succumbing to evil. While Emma’s fate is still relatively unknown, the powers of the Dark One are now inside the greatest force of good magic there is. That can’t be good…
