Here's What You Need To Know About Sheldon & Amy's First Time On "The Big Bang Theory"
Here's some crucial information that you absolutely must know before the new episode of "The Big Bang Theory" in which Sheldon and Amy finally have sex.

The moment fans of The Big Bang Theory (any Amy, let’s be honest) have been waiting for for a long time is nearly upon us.

This Thursday on The Big Bang Theory season 9, episode 11 “The Opening Night Excitation,” Sheldon and Amy, dubbed by avid viewers as “Shamy,” are finally going to “do it.” And, yes, by “do it,” I mean sex.

But, in typical sitcom fashion, Sheldon and Amy slipping into the sack definitely won’t be as easy as a few smooth words, a Prince song, and a bottle of red wine. Nope, getting to the bedroom is going to take a step or two beacuse, as new revelations about the pivotol moment in Big Bang history would suggest, the milestone event is going to coincide with the opening release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

While Sheldon wants nothing more than to see the latest instalment of one of his favourite film franchises, for which he already has tickets, Amy’s birthday just happens to be on the same day. Sheldon gets a visit in his dream from the late Professor Proton (Bob Newhart), his childhood idol, who encourages the theoretical physicist to do the right thing.

In the teaser below, Amy is beyond thrilled when she finds out from Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) that Sheldon is “ready to be physical” – so much so that she rushes off to get a wax:

In a recent interview, Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik, who play Sheldon and Amy respectively, dished on what fans can expect. “Amy’s been eager all along for a different kind of connection,” Bialik shared, “but it’s actually initiated by Sheldon.”

“Sheldon’s eager for her to know she’s special to him,” added Parsons, “and this is one of the items on the list that he feels could show that.”

Find out what happens when Sheldon and Amy finally consummate their relationship this Thursday at 8PM EST on CBS.
