The six best Friends anyone could ever ask for – Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer – are all returning to NBC for an upcoming special honouring James Burrows, a famed TV director who helmed an impressive 15 episodes of the hit series.
While news of the cast appearing in the same special are sure to whip the Internet into a frenzy, it remains to be seen whether or not they will actually “reunite.”
“I’m hoping all six of them will be all in the same room at the same time, but I’m not sure if we can logistically pull that off,” Bob Greenblatt, NBC’s chair of entertainment, said at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena, California, on Wednesday.
The official announcement came a little while after TVLine first broke the story.
The NBC special is scheduled to air on February 21. It will be produced by Sean Hayes, who previously worked with Burrows when the icon directed nearly 200 episodes of Will & Grace.
Burrows’ other credits include The Bob Newhart Show, Laverne & Shirey, Taxi, Mike & Molly, Frasier, and more!
