At midnight on Monday morning, Fifth Harmony announced on their social media channels that Camila Cabello has left the group.
In their statement, the girl group – now consisting of Normani Kordei, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui – said, “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony.”
I’m not going to pretend to understand the music business, but it sounds like there’s some animosity remaining between Camila and the other four girls. Representatives are necessary, of course, but could the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” singer find a less personable way to tell the rest of the group about her departure?
In their statement, the group maintains their commitment to one another and their fans, adding “We are excited for our future, and we can’t wait for what the new year brings.”
I have a feeling we haven’t heard the last of this developing story. Anyone else remember when Zayn left One Direction? Of course you do.
