In a new preview for the Avatar: The Last Airbender comic book series by Dark Horse, Hakoda, Katara and Sokka’s father, finds a hidden message in a series of caverns beneath an abandoned Fire Nation ship.

When the Chieftain of the Southern Water Tribe leads a team of officers to investigate, they stumble upon an ominous message from a criminal. Later on, Katara and Sokka reunite with Toph, who’s visiting the South Pole as a representative from her family’s company.

Avatar: The Last Airbender – North and South, Part Two, written by Gene Luen Yang (with input from Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko) and illustrated by Gurihiru, is out January 25.
