The Role of Web Application Development in Today's Businesses

Owning a business in today’s technology era is a lot more than simply supplying your products to the market. You are creating a huge gap between your business goals and current profit by not having your own web application.

Investing in custom web and mobile application development gives you an upper hand as it gives a personalized touch to your company. It is developed especially for your business from scratch. Not only does it boost productivity but also helps in driving sales, which is an essential booster for startups.

In the United States, 50 of the biggest American software companies generate around 70 percent revenue of the US software industry. Around 69 percent of small businesses that have a web application in the United States, India, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada get an annual sales of $1,000,000 – $2,490,000.

Custom web applications built with the help of web application development company helps your business achieve better productivity and ROI. Here are some useful tips for building a unique web application with the help of web solutions provider.

1. Rough Wireframe

Whether you have an in-house software development team or you’ll be outsourcing web application development services, write down how you want your application to look, your company ideals, vision, and mission, and business features. Doing so, will increase the productivity of your programmers and the web application will be ready in a short span. The rough blueprint also saves the time of going back and forth as the developers will know about the usage and functionality of the web application.

2. Great Customer Support

A Web Application Development Company will answer all your doubts and find an instant solution for it. Apart from fulfilling all your specifications for the web application, they are also responsible to make sure it is working at the correct speed and in the right away. Also, these companies have a great customer support, which works round the clock because a problem might affect at any point of the day and night.

3. Test Continuously

A custom web solution provider puts in a lot of time in correcting the bugs. They have skilled testers to test the web applications after every major development so that the program is solved as and when it arises. Always include the software development life cycle in web application development to accelerate the process. The programmers are involved in the process and don’t need to keep coming back to a project that they’ve already finished.

4. Engage in Agile Methodology Development

Agile methodology development might sound a new term to many of you’ll but it is exactly what you need right now. It is a set of skills that are developed on the basis of the Agile Manifesto and puts emphasis on interactions and individuals over tools and processes. It also gives more emphasis to working software ahead of comprehensive documentation.

The program’s most important goal is to restore credibility to the word methodology. Companies around the world have created techniques based on the Agile Manifesto to help companies deliver applications with the minimum necessary features. It will give your programmers a fair idea of what exactly they should do, without deviating from the plan.

5. Stronger Security

When you build your own web application, you can make it as secure as possible according to your calculations. All business aims are achieved, which increase performance and productivity. Also, by making your application easy to use, you are gaining a wide customer base on their very first use.

Using any one of these isn’t single-handedly going to drastically improve the productivity of your developers. You need to use multiple ways in combination for better results.

Asus Launches New Phones in India: Zenfone Max 1 and Zenfone Lite L1

Asus launched two new phones in India, on Wednesday, namely the Zenfone Max 1 and Zenfone Lite L1. The phones are targeted towards the budget customers. The phones will also compete with Xiaomi’s cheaper phones, especially the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6, in budget categories, mainly under the Rs.10,000 range.

Zenfone Max 1 Specs

The phone comes with a 5.45inch HD+ display (having a resolution of 1440x720p), protected with a 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable via microSD card). For better duration of usage it also has a large 4,000mAh battery.

When it comes to camera, the Max 1 has a 13MP lens on the rear (f/2.0), with PDAF, while on the front, there is a 8MP lens (f/2.0).

For security, the phone also has a fingerprint sensor that works fine. It runs on the Android Oreo 8.0 out-of-the-box (layered in Asus ZenUI 5).

Zenfone Lite L1

This one also has a 5.45inch HD+ display and it’s also powered by the same chipset like the Zenfone Max 1, which is Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. The battery on this one is of 3,000mAh, which is decent considering the price range.

For taking good photos and selfies, there is a rear camera of 13MP (f/2.0) with PDAF and a front camera of 5MP with flash. Although it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, but, it does have the face unlock feature which works decently, if not very quickly.

Zenfone Lite L1 runs on Android Oreo 8.0 out-of-the-box (also layered in Asus ZenUI 5).

Both the phones will be exclusively available on the online portal Flipkart and will go on sale during the upcoming Flipkart Festive Dhamaka Sale.

Lenovo K9 with Quad Cameras and A5 launched in India: Full Specs and Price revealedLenovo K9 with Quad Cameras and A5 launched in India: Full Specs and Price revealed

Lenovo, after a long period of void, finally launched new phones in India, yesterday. The launch event took place in Delhi. The company has gone for the mid-range and budget segment this time also (which it usually targets), unveiling two new phones, Lenovo K9 (the successor to the last year’s K8) and Lenovo A5.

Lenovo K9 Specs

Firstly talking about the Lenovo K9, then the highlight of this phone is the Quad Camera setup-that is, dual rear and dual front cameras.

The K9 comes with a 5.70inch HD+ display, having an aspect ratio of 18:9 and protected by 2.5D glass. For performance and daily tasks it’s got a MediaTek’s MT6762 (or simply HelioP22) octa-core processor, clocking at 2.0GHz. It is a good and efficient chip. The RAM is 3GB and internal capacity is 32GB.

When it comes to connectivity, then the K9 really surprised everyone having a Type-C port for charging and file transfer, since very few phones offer a Type-C option in budget range. There is also the option of expanding storage, with a microSD card slot which can push the capacity up to 128GB. The phone also supports dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth, and also has a 3.5mm audio jack.

The battery is not very large but decent one, at 3,000mAh. Though, the previous version, Lenovo K8, had a huge 4,000mAh battery.

The phone runs on Android Oreo 8.1 out-of-the-box, layered in Lenovo’s own ZUI theme. Sensors include the ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and a fingerprint sensor too.

But as mentioned above, the highlight of the phone is the camera setup. It has a dual rear camera setup on the back as well as on the front. On both sides, there are 13MP+5MP lenses-and both of them have flash support. Both cameras support portrait feature which can also be adjusted while taking a picture.

Lenovo A5 Specs

It is also powered by the MediaTek’s chipset, which is an MT6739 quad-core processor, clocking at 1.5GHz. This phone comes in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM/16GB storage and another one with 3GB of RAM/32 GB storage.

Connectivity includes dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm audio jack, Micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The storage can also be expanded with a microSD card that can push the storage up to a huge 256GB. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint sensor. The battery though is a large one at 4,000mAh.

The phone runs on Android Oreo 8.1, skinned with Lenovo’s ZUI 3.9 custom UI.

The A5 has a single rear camera of 13MP (f/2.2 aperture), with autofocus and also monochrome flash. On the front, there is an 8MP lens (f/2.2 aperture).
