As it’s now certain and clear that Disney is soon going to come up with its own streaming service to compete against the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, rumors have begun regarding the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) also. According to recent sources, Disney is planning to bring lesser-known Marvel characters (MCU movies) on their own series.

Though the initial series will be limited to just eight or ten episodes only, it will be intriguing to watch superheroes of blockbuster Marvel films in their shows.

Only an announcement has been made as of now, so to clearly make out which superheroes will be getting their own series is still a mystery. But two names have been nearly confirmed-Loki and Scarlett Witch, played by Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen, respectively. They will be reprising their roles from Thor and Avengers films.

Both the characters were last seen in this year’s epic, Avengers: Infinity War, in which both died at the hands of Thanos (played by Josh Brolin). So, the series based on them may take place before or after the events of Infinity War-still not confirmed. Now, if there’s Scarlett Witch, then there may be a moment when we might be able to see Quicksilver and Vision too, in one of the episodes!

Well, one thing is ensured for the fans-mindboggling visuals! Yes, the series will be a big-budgeted affair since it will be based directly on the MCU storyline.

But the sad news for current Marvel fans is that Disney will now cancel its contract with Netflix on which shows like Jessica Jones and Iron Fist run; which is obvious. Why would Disney want their Marvel content to stream on any ‘rival’ network when they already have their own!

Currently, the shows announced for next year, include Star Wars series, a High School Musical-based show and a live-action version of Lady and the Tramp.

Apart from the above-mentioned series, many rumors included the names of War Machine aka James Rhodes, but there has been no substance to it.

The streaming service will be starting next year, hopefully.

Drop your ideas in the comments section about your own list of characters or superheroes from MCU movies, that you will love to watch in their own series.
