Honor will be launching its new phone, Honor 8X in India tomorrow, that is, October 16th. The newer model from the company will be a successor to last year’s Honor 7X, which was also a very successful phone among the customers. Well, when it comes to the newer version, the 8X will be a ‘notched-phone’, which means it will also be coming up with the trending notch display.
Specs, Connectivity & Camera
The phone will have a 6.5inch Full HD+ display (about 16.5cm in screen size) and will be possessing the company’s new Kirin 710 octa-core processor based on 12nm architecture (clocking up to 2.2GHz).
For handling the graphics, there will be a Mali G51 MP4 along with GPU Turbo technology.
On storage basis, there will be three variants available to the customers, with 4GB RAM/64GB capacity, 6GB RAM/64GB capacity and lastly a 6GB RAM/128GB capacity model. And there is also the option of microSD card, so storage won’t be a problem. Battery capacity is 3,750mAh.
Honor 8X will be coming with Android Oreo 8.1 out-of-the-box, layered in the skinned version of Honor’s own, EMUI 8.2.
For connectivity options, there is a micro USB port for charging and data transfer, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack, dual-SIM slot and a separate slot for a microSD card which can extend the storage up to 400 GB.
When it comes to the camera department, the phone has a dual-rear AI camera setup, of 20MP+2MP lenses. While on the front there is a 16MP selfie camera, with the portrait of course.
There are many options in the camera interface along with the portrait like HDR, panorama, slow-motion, night mode and several other handy and useful modes too.
Telling about the rear AI dual cameras, the company says that the Honor 8X’s rear lenses can recognize over 500 different scenarios in 22 categories. It also said that the AI intelligence of the camera is capable of improving the photo quality based on what the user is shooting.

Price
Though the exact price details haven’t been revealed yet since the launch is just about to take place, but according to general predictions, the Honor 8X will be a mid-range device which means that Xiaomi’s latest and ongoing phones will be getting another tough competitor. Nokia has also come into play as far as the mid-range segment is concerned.
