Artificial Intelligence which is as of now is literally everywhere. Your smartphones, Laptops, Computers, are just the beginning of the AI. In 2018 you may even have a talking robot which can assist you in any situation you actually want. However, that is very unrealistic when we compare today’s latest technology advancements to the more ideal situation. Some of the hyper robots are not coming any time soon. Robots are not going to learn to live exactly which is just like going to be humans anytime soon. Maybe, this very fantasy may become one of the major reality in a long run but not now. Moreover, this offers one of the toughest challenges for researchers to solve in the year 2018. We may think, how hard it can be to make a Robot to laugh just like a human. For the same, some of the researchers, pour millions of dollars and hundreds of hours into the process. So, here are five some of the tough projects for 2018.
1- Emotions
The stark difference between a robot and a human is having actual feelings which is just like humans. Sometimes, we feel happy, we get hurt, we can be angry with anyone. Emotions are the one most essential and important part of human life. Nowadays, We communicate with those emotions to yourself and with others. Believe it or not, 90% of the times we communicate with the help of a non-verbal language (emotions and gestures). However, Machine and AI is not able to do exactly that, which makes it much less human than scientists say it is. One of the biggest challenge which would be to induce emotions and make it seem real. It also requires a ton work on the hardware and bon the software side as well. We want to robot to be natural and comfortable while it is trying to act just like the human being. To make that happen, the hardware required to process that information is as of now much more essential.

2- Understanding the Human Sense of Sarcasm
Sarcasm is way of expressing our thoughts in an unseeing way, which is used by us most of the time. The way with the help of which Amazon Alexa, Google, and Bixby have progressed in language processing is much more impressive. However, understanding sarcasm is not a simple task. We use metaphors and some of the more contextual meanings, which we only can understand. That is because just we have an actual bond between each other, which is also a silent agreement which only another human can understand. Machines, however, are not very proficient in understanding us in an emotional way. They only know what we let them know. This is a serious ground-breaking research issue which is having as of now. If anyone or scientist could crack this entire challenge, then we are one step closer to having robots as our personal assistants.

3- Security is paramount in AI development
What if your Google account gets hacked and all your personal information down to some very sensitive details gets leaked, this is one of the biggest challenges which we can face anytime. That is a big risk you are taking – trusting Google to keep your information as safe and secure. However, it is not just one of the largest IT tech giant company Google, this problem is prevalent among any online sources. As our latest innovative technology is growing in bounds and leaps, slowly hacking is catching up with it and maybe someday it may outrun our progress.

4- The value of ethics in AI
How does a machine know what to do and when to do it and at what time does that work need to do? Well, it is a simple process the information and learns from that. But how does it know which all entire decision is right and which is not even good? The entire problem is the machine which as of now doesn’t know if it is right or wrong, it just executes the program step by step. Moreover, sometimes we do the wrong things for the right reasons. Machines can’t even understand the illogical and random behavior of the human brain. Artificial Intelligence at best can mimic it at 10% perfection. The value of ethics comes even when the Artificial Intelligence learns to lie at the significant right times. We mainly program the software which does not need not lie and to honest at all times. However, to act just like a human or a human existence, it has to learn the art of lying, which is also considering it not harming anyone.
Why just people simulating the real-world scenarios won’t work in the learning process of Artificial Intelligence?
In the real-world scenario we have hundreds of unanticipated parameters that come into play when we set to do something new or a just apart thing. Accounting all of them is simply impossible in the environment of virtual learning. We can’t create real-life terrors just, so Artificial Intelligence will learn to be more just like a human. It would be great for the real work if the scientist can figure out a way to work with AI in real life scenarios than virtual worlds, this could mean a huge progress in the AI world.
