It’s been just a mere week since the highly anticipated OnePlus 6T was launched with a slightly refreshed design. Adding a teardrop notch and slightly taller display (with reduced bottom bezels), the newer version packs a lot under its chassis. The latest Android 9 Pie is there, the fastest processor in Snapdragon 845 is there, and on top of it, the best stock Android interface of OnePlus’s own OxygenOS’s latest 9.0 version was also there, until now.

Because now, the phone has got a big update, which is the OxygenOS 9.0.5. The good thing about this update is that it will also be coming to not just OnePlus 6 (slightly older by now), but also to the past models too, like OnePlus 5T, 5, 3T, and 3.

Now, coming to the update for the 6T, then the version 9.0.5 of OxygenOS is being rolled out to the phone currently by the company. Many users have bought it, so there may be some minor problems with the usage and interface, considering which OnePlus decided to throw an update via a new version of its customized software.

Speaking of the issues that the new OxygenOS will improve, then it’s the Screen Unlock (of the in-display fingerprint reader) and gestures. The Screen Unlock will now work even much faster and efficiently while using the full-screen gestures has also become really impressive and responsive, as claimed by some online users who’ve already received the update.

If you are one of those who’s got a OnePlus 6T and looking for this update, then you should hurry up now. If somehow, you have not received an OTA update yet, then you can also do it manually by going to the official website of OnePlus, where you can download it yourself.
