The smashing sequel of 2012’s Wreck-It Ralph, Ralph Breaks The Internet has opened well on the box-office, thanks to an amazing response by both critics and audiences. The Disney movie earned around $21.735 million (approximately $22million), on Friday, stamping its entry in theaters, along with other releases. Its Friday collection was way beyond than what it earned on Thursday ($10.3 million).

And since the sequel released on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018, it looks certain that the five-day weekend for the film will end somewhere around $85 million.

But it also seems that ‘Ralph Breaks The Internet’ will be having a great run in theaters since the fans of the first film were waiting for this. Like its predecessor, this one has also been certified fresh on online rating portal Rotten Tomatoes, with a fantastic score of 86%.

Talking about the box-office then Ralph 2 will be having a tough task to compete with its own Disney counterparts, that released in the past. The highest domestic gross of a Disney movie till now is of Toy Story 2 (1999) which collected $242 million back then. But if inflation gets applied, then it amounts to around $437 million in present time. Then comes 2016’s Moana with $248 million, 2017’s Coco with $206 million, and 2010’s Tangled with $200 million.

And apart from breaking Disney’s old animated films’ numbers, Ralph 2 will also be competing with another upcoming Disney film, Marry Poppins Returns. And they both will be getting a big competition together, from upcoming biggies of December, like Worlds Of DC’s Aquaman, Marvel/Fox’s Once Upon A Deadpool, Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Mortal Engines, and Transformers series’ spin-off, Bumblebee.

Compared to the above action movies, these two Disney flicks are family friendly and to see them giving a fight to the heavyweights will be interesting to see in the next month.

Directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, Ralph Breaks The Internet stars voices of actors John C. Reilly as Ralph, Sarah Silverman as Vanellope von Schweetz, Jack McBrayer as Fix-It Felix, and Taraji P. Henson as Yesss. This time there’s a new female character also called Shank, whose voice is given by Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot.

The film was released on November 21st, 2018 and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios.
