Monday Night RAW 24th December 2018: All matches, results and reviews

Almost all of us are a big fan of WWE. Whatever it does or it shows are reviewed by us. That was wrong, that should have been done, this superstar deserved to win etc. and many more. We talk among ourselves what should have been done and what lacked in the episodes. Now, it is a starting of the reviewing of the episodes we see on Monday Night RAW and Tuesday Night SmackDown. For all those who missed the matches, you can see here what happened.

Remember, I am not going to talk about the highlights. If I do, it will be a very long article. I will be listing all what happened and will be reviewing those.

On this article, I will be taking about Monday Night RAW that took place on 24th December 2018. Let us go through it –

RAW on 24th December was a must watch because the McMahon Family and Triple H in the previous RAW had made the announcement that a new start would be made and that each and every superstar would get their chance, and also the new faces would be introduced. So, it would be great to see the Authority taking up face role.

– RAW kicked off with Elias in the middle of the ring in his usual style, holding his guitar with the microphone in the front, but one unusual thing – he was wearing a Christmas Hat. He told the WWE Universe that he was about to give then the best gift of all – a humiliating Bobby Lashley, thus starting the first match of the night.

Elias vs Bobby Lashley (Miracle on 34th Street Fight)

Probably the best match of the night and the best match that Elias could have got into in his career. This was an incredibly entertaining match. All types of holiday weapons were stacked outside the ring and according to the stipulation of the match, anything could be used. Lashley was in control in the early stage of the match, but soon Elias took control and won the match after using some interesting weapons like the Christmas Tree, a bowling ball and finally, his guitar.

– Heath Slater appeared backstage during the break, wishing for Christmas that his best friend Rhyno was back.

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable (c) vs The Revival (WWE RAW Tag-Team Championships)

You must accept that Vince McMahon is doing pure injustice with the RAW Tag Team Titles. Within the last three months, we have seen the titles change place nearly four or five times. And, look at SmackDown Live. Whenever we have felt that the titles are now stable with one team, the plan changes!

However, the Tag Team Titles are now in the hands of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. And, they are in feud with The Revival, who deserved to win the titles a lot earlier. And this time too, the match ended with the two Glorious one retaining. Even the match was not that entertaining, with the win coming with a boring roll up by Gable to Dash Wilder.

Finn Balor vs Drew McIntyre vs Dolph Ziggler (Triple Threat Match)

Yet once again it feels like Finn Balor is being under-used. However, this match did not disappoint. All the three superstars gave their best and made the match entertaining. Drew dominated in the most stages of the match thanks to his physical strength.

But Balor excelled in the end stages after hitting a Coup De Grace on Drew first and then on Dolph to pin him and win the match. It was a great win for Balor with the Royal Rumble ahead.

Vince McMahon’s 3 big announcements

Mr. McMahon appeared backstage and made 3 huge announcements. Firstly, John Cena will be back soon. Second, we’ll get women’s tag-team titles in 2019 and third, Ziggler will face McIntyre in a steel cage next week on WWE RAW.

Mickie James, Alicia Fox &Dana Brooke vs Sasha Banks, Bayley & Ember Moon

A really eventful 6-women tag team match which followed Mr. McMahon’s announcement. As always, the baby faces won the match after some interesting hits from Sasha Banks and Bayley. Sasha hit Alicia Fox and it followed with Bayley immediately hitting a Bayley-To-Belly to Fox for the win.

Paul Heyman helps bring in the Christmas cheer

Out next in the ring was Brock Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman. He talked about Braun Strowman asking Santa Claus for the replica of the WWE Universal title when he was small and that he had the chance of winning the real one now. Just then the music of Strowman hit, and he went face to face with Heyman and put a red nose and antlers on the petrified advocate of Lesnar.

He also had a message for Lesnar – he was going to be fit in the Royal Rumble and that Lesnar would ‘Get These Hands’!

Ronda Rousey (c) vs Natalya (RAW Women’s Championship)

Two friends fought it out for the Women’s Championship Title. None of the women were dominant and the match was equally poised. We did see a lot of Sharpshooters and judo throws. But in the end, the Baddest Bitch on the Planet won through her trademark Armbar.

Heath Slater vs Jinder Mahal

I don’t know from where did this match come from. But during the match, Jinder Mahal was distracted by a Santa Claus spreading cheers at the ring side. Taking advantage, Slater hit Mahal with a high kick and pinned him but the Singh Brothers broke the pin and started beating down Slater.

Santa entered the ring and helped Slater clear it, before hitting Jinder Mahal with the Gore. Then he revealed himself as Rhyno. Finally Slater got his Christmas wish fulfilled.

Seth Rollins vs Baron Corbin

It would not be wrong to call this a time pass match. There was no build up for this match, and was not a worthy main-event. However, both the wrestlers did whatever they could to make this match worth watching. Rollins had a geared up start fir some time, but Corbin took over soon, and after a lot of beatings, Rollins was able to hit his signature Curb Stomp for the win.
