On Friday, Hillary Clinton blasted President Trump for seeking a foreign government’s help to win a second presidential election.
“A foreign force was requested by the president to assist him win an election. Again, “wrote on Twitter the twice-failed presidential candidate.
Clinton refers to an obvious joke Trump said in 2016 when he asked Russia to find messages from his Democrat rival on a private server.
“Russia, if you listen, I hope you can discover the missing 30,000 emails. I believe our press is likely to reward you mightily, “Trump said at the moment.
Breitbart.com reports: The former Secretary of State’s remark arose in reaction to an interview in which Rudy Giuliani, the private attorney of the president, informed CNN that he asked the Ukrainian government to investigate possible wrongdoing that might involve former vice president Joe Biden in 2020.
“I didn’t ask them to look at Joe Biden,” Giuliani said on Thursday to host Christopher Cuomo. “I told them to look at my client’s claims that tangibly engaged Joe Biden in a huge bribery system, not unlike what he did in China.” Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees in 2016, according to the New York Times, unless Ukrainian Attorney General Yuriy Lutsenko was removed. Lutsenko was investigating possible misconduct of an energy company of which Biden’s son, Hunter, was a member of the board.
Giuliani disclosed last month that he spoke to a Ukrainian official about the prospective role of Biden in removing the prosecutor.
“The only thing I requested about Joe Biden is to get to the bottom of how Lutsenko… rejected the case against[ the Anti-Corruption Action Center of Ukraine],” he said.
