Democrats who use Father Alexander Hamilton’s words to end their assaults on President Donald Trump are excluding Hamilton, according to one of Trump’s lawyers.

Chairman of the House Committee on Intelligence Rep. Adam Schiff from California and Chairman of the House Committee on Judicial Affairs Rep. Jerry Nadler from New York used Hamilton’s terms each in the Trump Senate case.

“When a person who has no values in private life is despotic in his own wealth, brave in his mind, possessed of considerable talent, with the advantage of military habits— despotic in his usual way — knows that he has privately scoffed at the principles of freedom— if he is seen to be riding the famous hobby horse — he will take every opportunity to join in the cry of danger to freedom

According to The Washington Post, Sekulow told reporters on Thursday that the quotation was “unapplicable and totally out of place.”

Would you believe the Democrats cheat to get Trump out of office?

Democrats “used Alexander Hamilton’s famous quote about the prosecution,” said Sekulow, as Fox News reported.

“It wasn’t the police. Five years after the Constitution was adopted, it was a letter on political disputes between Hamilton and Washington. “So they are not only taking the wrong rule, they are also taking the wrong quotations from the founding fathers” he said.

“To quote the correct terms and what the Founding Fathers were actually talking about, would be really fitting,” Sekulow said.

— House Judiciary GOP (@JudiciaryGOP), January 23, 2020 In Jan. 7 Op-Ed for Fox News, Utah Sen. Mike Lee wrote, “Alexander Hamilton claimed in Federalist 66 that splitting the abduction and expulsion authority between House and Senate and House representatives would’ guard against the danger of tyranny, by the spread of the factious spirit in either house.'”

“It was both prescient and providential for our founding fathers to guard against this by putting their final judgment and opposing it not in the hands of the House of Representatives, a judge, a tribunal or even a jury, but in the Senate.” Lee noted that the trial is unconnected with politics elsewhere in his Op-Ed.

The] founders of the Constitution understood that the prosecution was an essentially political act — for good or ill—,” he wrote.

“James Wilson, one of the first judges of the nation and a leading constitutional theorist, described the prosecution as” both political characters, political crimes and misdemeanors and political punishments.
