How to Survive 40+ Degree Celsius Summer in India?
India faces a harrowing time during the peak summer months of April-June when you don’t get respite from the scorching heat.
The humidity makes the conditions worse when you continue sweating even after just taking a bath. It is now normal to experience temperatures above 40 degrees in India.
But the question is – how to deal with it if you don’t have an AC for rooms? Let’s find out in this quick post right away!
Solution # 1
Stay indoors as much as possible
If you can, it would be best to avoid going out or at least limit it during peak hours. Exposing yourself in the heat for long hours can affect it badly and lead to heatstroke and exhaustion. Even if you have to go out, you should plan it after 6 PM and till 10 AM when the temperature is at least bearable.
Solution # 2
Stay hydrated
Lots of people in India face dehydrating issues during peak summer months owing to less intake of water. Thus, the best thing would be to drink up at least 7-8 glasses of water. It would also be advisable to carry a water bottle while traveling for immediate and required consumption.
Solution # 3
Use umbrella
It may not be possible for everyone to stay indoors and avoid facing the sun during summer months owing to work commitments and more. But that does not mean you should expose yourself to sunlight as extreme exposure may even lead to skin cancer. The intensity of UVB in sunlight is the maximum during 10 AM and 3 PM. Thus, you can either carry an umbrella or weak an SPF sunscreen before going out of the house.
Solution # 4
Wear cotton clothes
When you sweat during summers, wearing cotton clothes can help you in absorbing the sweat and helps your body to cool down. It is because the cotton fabric is best for absorbing the same and bringing down your body temperature. What’s more, you can also avoid fungus issues from stay off or at its minimum level by wearing cotton fabrics.
Solution # 5
Stay off spicy food
Come summer, and one of the best advice would be avoiding outside foods as much as possible. It would also be to avoid spicy food. It is because spicy foods have a chemical known as capsaicin that makes your body sweat more but without increasing the temperature. The more you consume spicy foods, the more heat it will generate.
