On night one of the Republican National Convention, Donald Trump Jr. has a few positive moments. The first item that’s unforgettable was the dig in Biden, where he called the “Loch Ness Creature of the Swamp.” I would imagine the memesmiths work with brilliant material as I write.

Nevertheless, the best thing about it was that Trump Jr. called the presidency “the synagogue, job and school against rebellion, plundering and theft.” That is what Conservatives need to bring home at any moment over the next few months.

Unfortunately, the evening saw an immediate downfall when Kimberly Guilfoyle, Don Jr ‘s mother, took the room. I’m not clear why the Republican National Convention invited Guilfoyle to comment because there are so many conservative firebrands like Brandon Straka or Candace Owens to pick. This was mysterious and almost difficult to comprehend. Anyone who coached her would be fired. I expect this to become an SNL skit. It’s worth all the criticism it’s going to bring. I can’t say if Stifler ‘s Mom or Ursula ‘s Sea Witch was trying to control.

Somebody brings her a cup of tea and takes her out of the frame somewhere. Don’t do it again, RNC. Never. Never.

May we just impose a ban on Republican wives speaking at events? I don’t know who it was, but that man deserves to be cinnamoned. There is a list of other people, from whom I would like to hear: Diamond and Silk, Brandon Straka, Candace Owens, Bryson Grey, Respect Black Guns and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Each of them should have been too much better. Guilfoyle is not one of the friends of Trump. Most of the people I know are really upset with Don Jr. wanting to throw a Fox News beauty over his wife and five kids.

The RNC was really hot when the speakers were introduced, and so many of them were members of Trump’s party. Ivanka and Tiffany will talk later in the week and others wonder why. There are future Republicans who will have the opportunity and who can express conservative confidence in the nation in ways that the children of Trump can not. I hope the RNC will reconsider its decision and take its speaker list seriously after the Guilfoyle debacle.
