Trump Slams Biden on Coronavirus Lockdowns: “We Can’t Lock Ourselves in a Basement Like Joe Does”

President Trump and Joe Biden were physically farther apart than any presidential nominees had ever been to the state of discussion, thanks to new coronavirus protection legislation. And their messages were as distant as they were. Whereas Trump has expressed hope and optimism that we, as a country, can conquer this pandemic, Biden has used every opportunity to depress us.

Take the very first line Biden said, “220,000 Americans are dead.” Every time Trump tried to be hopeful, Biden replied with that kind of doom and gloom.

“We’re on the way to a dark winter, and he has no plan,” Biden said to the president.

“I don’t think we’re going to have a dark winter at all,” Trump said. “We’re opening up our own country.”

The President added that he and his staff are doing research and learning more about the disease every day. In other words, we’re going to beat this one.

“If you find that the mortality rate is down 85 percent,” said Trump. “The excess mortality rate is much lower and much lower than almost every other country, and we’re fighting it, and we’re fighting hard. There’s a surge, there’s a surge in Florida, and it’s gone now. In Arizona, there was a very large spike. It’s gone now.

Trump also spoke a lot about Operation Warp Pace, which now has at least three vaccine candidates in Phase Three trials.

“We’ve got our generals lined up, one in particular, the Head of Logistics,” said the President. “And for him, this is a very simple delivery. He ‘s good to go as soon as we’ve got the vaccine, and we’re expecting 100 million vials. He ‘s ready to go as soon as we have the vaccine.

Trump himself got the coronavirus a couple of weeks ago, and after a few days at Walter Reed and a few rounds of therapy, he’s now immune.

“I’ve caught it,” he said. “I’ve heard a lot.”

And he said he was in the majority. Ninety-nine percent of the people are recovering.

“We can’t close our country, or you won’t have a country,” he said.

President @realDonaldTrump refusing to hide from the coronavirus in the basement:

“We can’t lock ourselves in a basement like Joe does. He’s got the power to lock himself up. I don’t know; he ‘s definitely made a lot of money out there. “ / kfadMY1V8

The Americans, he said, “learn to deal with it.”

Again, Biden has decided to go dark again.

“We’re learning to die with it,” Biden said, adding a cheerful note that people at home are going to wake up to empty seats.
