Hyping up fans at 2021 Comic Con ahead of the Disney+ ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ series, the 40-year-old actor looked better than ever!

Actor Hayden Christensen made a rare appearance on Friday, Oct. 8 at the Empire State Building in New York City to promote the 2021 Comic Con — and he never looked better! The 40-year-old showed up with RX CEO Hugh Jones to create hype for the event which is taking place all weekend. The Canadian actor, who played Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars — Attack of the Clones (2002) and Star Wars — Revenge of the Sith (2005), is reprising the role for the forthcoming Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi and will likely talk with fans all weekend about the project.

Not much is yet known about how much Anakin will be featured on the show, but Hayden is slotted as a series regular. Also starring in the project is Ewan McGregor in the title role, Joel Edgerton, Kumail Nanjiani, O’Shea Jackson Jr.Sung Kang, Benny Safdie, and Maya Erskine, and more.

On March 29, 2021, Disney+ announced that the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series would begin shooting in April 2021. The series already had pushbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but also because of several script rewrites that took place, per Inverse. There’s also been a lot of speculation about where the series would shoot, but Ewan set the record straight while speaking with Eddie Izzard in February 2021.

“We start making it in the late spring, and I think we’re going to be shooting it here in LA,” Ewan said. “It’s so funny – every week there’s a new report… there’s another tabloid expose that we’re shooting it in some bizarre town somewhere. Then we’re meant to be making it in Boston, then, ‘No, it wasn’t Boston, it was Boston, England.’ But we’re not. We’re shooting it in LA.”

Although Hayden likes to keep things pretty low key, he was recently spotted out and about with daughter Briar Rose, 6, whom he shares with ex Rachel Bilson, 39. The father-daughter duo looked adorable hitting the Los Angeles Farmers Market together, gathering some potted plants for what seemed to be a gardening mission. Both Hayden and Rachel — who met while filming the 2008 flick Jumper — like to keep Briar out of the public eye.

Konshens Reveals How New Album ‘Red Reign’ ‘Flipped The Switch’ On His Artistic ‘Complacency’

Konshens Reveals How New Album ‘Red Reign’ ‘Flipped The Switch’ On His Artistic ‘Complacency’

With his new album, music superstar Konshens aimed to inspire others ‘to find the new soul of dancehall,’ but as he tells HL, he also was looking to inspire himself as well.

It’s hard to associate the word “complacent” with Konshens. The Kingston, Jamaica native burst on the dancehall scene in 2005 with the international hit, “Pon Di Corner.” All Music describes him as “prolific as both a solo artist and a contributor to other’s tracks,” and he boasts a massive credit list. Yet, Konshens used that word to describe himself in an interview with Dancehall magazine and that his new album, Red Reign, was a way to snap him out of it. “After achieving certain stages and achievements in their careers, artists can easily become comfortable and complacent,” he tells HollywoodLife. “I feel like I was starting to become that way until Covid-19 woke me up.”

The global pandemic has had a significant influence on music – postponing tours, shuttering venues, causing many release delays – but for Konshens, the worldwide catastrophe forced him to confront the truth that his time on this plane of existence is limited. “The pandemic inspired me to maximize my potential, the genre, and the culture because it can all be taken away in an instant,” he says. And so, he got to work on the batch of tracks that would make up Red Reign. For dedicated fans, Konshens believes it’ll have them thinking “he’s back,” as he returns to form after venturing into soca with 2020’s Soca Virgin. For new listeners, Red Reign may introduce them to their new favorite artist, as Konshens dips in and out of genre, with reggae, soca, Afrobeats, and other sounds that have been added to the equation. However — be you someone who’s been on this since day one or is coming late to the party — Red Reign reaffirms why Konshens is one of the hottest names in music today.

The album is also a personal triumph, as it represents Konshens reigniting his creative spark. “If you listen to the album, you can tell the difference in the mindset,” he tells HollywoodLife. “You can feel where I flipped the switch. If you listen to the entire album, you can tell the difference.” In an EXCLUSIVE interview, Konshens shared how Red Reign couldn’t have happened if it weren’t for the pandemic, how the album will leave fans “happy,” and why this record might be the best introduction to new fans. (Spoiler: It “has a lot of songs that are easy on the ear.”)

HollywoodLife: You’ve just released Red Reign, your new album and follow-up to last year’s Soca album Soca Virgin. How does it feel to have this project out in the world to kick off “Season 4”?

It feels good to have it out. I have been working on it for a while now. I am excited by the positive feedback I have been getting. People have loved the diversity of the music. Every song has a unique vibe, so different people gravitate towards different songs. People are recognizing that a lot of thought was put into the project.

You said this album is an about-face, that you were “getting complacent.” What did you mean by that? How did you grow “complacent?”

After achieving certain stages and achievements in their careers, artists can easily become comfortable and complacent. I feel like I was starting to become that way until Covid-19 woke me up. It made me appreciate time and respect the blessings of life. The pandemic inspired me to maximize my potential, the genre, and the culture because it can all be taken away in an instant.

Is there a moment in Red Reign that represents the biggest change from this complacency? Like, is there a song that you pushed yourself hard on, one that saw you take things to the next level?

There isn’t a particular song, but if you listen to the album, you can tell the difference in the mindset. You can feel where I flipped the switch. If you listen to the entire album, you can tell the difference.

Red Reign features a handful of stars like Davido, Spice, Jesse Royal, and Kaelyn Kastle, to name a few. Were you surprised by any of these collaborations – like, did someone bring the fire to their verses, maybe made you do a double-take?

They all delivered. The album has a lot of songs that are easy on the ear, so it was easy for the artists to float on the beat. Everybody added their flavor. Jesse and Kaelyn definitely complimented the songs and took them to another level. Spice, the “Queen of Dancehall,” came into the project and did her thing. Everybody I worked with added something special to the album, and I appreciate all of their contributions.

Do you think you could have made an album like Red Reign if the pandemic didn’t happen?

I don’t think so. I probably would have been too relaxed and fallen into old habits. It took a year to make, and it was a challenge because I challenged myself. If the pandemic didn’t happen, I probably would have made an album that sounded similar to my past work. The creative process of the pandemic helped me elevate myself as an artist even with all of the negativity that came with Covid-19.

You’ve been in the game for nearly two decades now. For those who have been with you since day one, how do you think Red Reign might surprise them?

I think they will be happy. It feels like “he’s back.” That is how I feel, and the people around me feel. I hope to bridge the gap between what is new and hot and the foundation of the culture. I wanted to inspire the producers and artists to find the new soul of dancehall.

Red Reign is out now.

Adam Levine Debuts Rose Tattoo On His Face In New Photo Snapped By Behati Prinsloo

The Maroon 5 vocalist’s wife shared a photo of his brand new ink, as the two relaxed and enjoyed some tequila.

New tattoo alert! Adam Levine seems to have hopped on the face tattoo trend and gotten a rose inked on his face. His wife, Behati Prinsloo, shared a photo of the 42-year-old Maroon 5 singer sitting in the back of a car with the new ink on full display on Tuesday November 30. The singer and model seemed like they were having a nice night out and drinking some Calirosa tequila.

Behati, 33, tagged her husband of seven years and Calirosa in her Instagram story. The former Voice coach was wearing a worn green sweater, and a pair of torn up jeans, as they sat in the car, and he held the bottle of tequila. The new rose tattoo is pretty simple, showing just a black design in the shape of the flower. In later stories, Behati reposted videos from Calirosa that showed the couple taking shots of the tequila.

The new face tattoo is far from Adam’s first. The “Girls Like You” singer is covered in tattoos on his chest, arms and neck. Some of his most well-known tats include having “California” tattooed over his stomach. He also already has a few other floral tattoos, like another delicate flower on his neck.

Adam was kept pretty busy this year with Maroon 5’s touring schedule, and he’ll hit the road with his band again at the end of the year for two Las Vegas shows on December 30 and 31. While the band undoubtedly gave fans plenty of unforgettable concerts on their “MMXXI” tour, there were a few hiccups along the way. He laughed as he had a first in the 20 years of Maroon 5’s career and forgot the words to their hit song “She Will Be Loved.” He didn’t seem to mind, as he joked to the audience about it. “It’s funny because I didn’t even need to admit it because you guys came with me on the journey,” he said. Unfortunately not every moment was as silly, Adam also looked pretty angry, when a fan ran onstage and gave him a hug in the middle of one show. Gotta respect those boundaries!

An armed security guard was shot outside the home where Jacqueline Avant, wife of music legend Clarence Avant, was shot and killed early Wednesday.

Jacqueline, 81, was fatally shot by a gunman who forced his way into the couple’s Beverly Hills area mansion. Clarence Avant, 90, was at home but wasn’t harmed, a source tells TMZ.

The security guard who was stationed outside the home was shot and wounded. He did not return fire, police say.

Beverly Hills police responded to a 911 call from the residence around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the upscale Truesdale estates.

They found Mrs. Avant suffering from a single gunshot wound inside the residence. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital later that morning.

Police found a broken glass door at the rear of the mansion. They believe the home invaders targeted the elderly couple whose mansion is valued at $7 million.

Various upscale Los Angeles neighborhoods have been plagued by a string of “follow-home” robberies.

Former BET host and actor Terrence “J” Jenkins, 39, was followed on his way home to his Sherman Oaks neighborhood by someone in an SUV who opened fire at his car around 3 a.m. on November 10. He managed to escape with his life.

Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore announced that a police task force has been created to apprehend “follow-home” robbers.

California is also plagued by crowbar-wielding smash-and-grab burglars who invade high end stores such as Louis Vuitton and Nordstrom.
