‘The Baby-Sitters Club’ Stars Reveal Claudia & Stacey Go Through ‘Big Struggles’ In Season 2

‘The Baby-Sitters Club’ returns for season 2 on October 11. HL spoke EXCLUSIVELY with Shay Rudolph and Momona Tamada about Stacey and Claudia’s ‘ups and downs’ in season 2 and their new castmates.

Stacey and Claudia’s friendship will continue to be a focal point of The Baby-Sitters Club season 2, which premieres October 11 on Netflix. HollywoodLife got EXCLUSIVE scoop from Shay Rudolph and Momona Tamada about what to expect from their characters’ friendship in the new episodes.

“I think they get definitely closer over this season because you naturally get closer as friends as time goes on, but they both go through pretty big struggles,” Shay told HollywoodLife. “I think they’re there for each other through those times, which is really sweet to see.”

Momona added, “I think it’s really beautiful to see how their relationship kind of goes through its ups and downs and how their friendship as an outcome is stronger in the end.”

The first season explored Stacey’s journey living with diabetes. Shay opened up about how Stacey will continue to navigate having diabetes in season 2. “I think Stacey is a really strong character despite any struggles she goes through she’s still her bright self regardless of anything that’s against her,” Shay said. “I think we get a really great opportunity to see her be even stronger this time and come out a better person and have her friends support her through it all.”

Momona revealed that Claudia’s family will be a major storyline in the second season. “I think fans definitely see a lot of growth within her family and the relationships between her sister, for example,” Momona teased. “I think Claudia’s character arc this season is really beautiful, and I’m just really excited for everyone to get to see it. I think her story would resonate with very many people.”

The Baby-Sitters Club will also be adding two new characters in season 2: Mallory and Jessi. Momona and Shay revealed how Claudia and Stacey react to the new members. “I think for Claudia it’s definitely a little bit of an adjustment. The outcome of it is definitely a closer friendship for sure,” Momona said.

As for Stacey, Shay said that her character’s “mindset is always the more the merrier. I mean, in season 1 when Dawn comes in she’s like, ‘Here, let me help you. I was the new girl once, too. You’re the new girl.’ So she gets it. She’s always happy to have more friends.”

Khloe Kardashian to Contact Lady Over Tristan’s Alleged Baby

REPORT: Khloe Kardashian Plans to Contact Maralee Nichols About Tristan's Affair as KUWTK Star Receives Roses From Scott Disick Amid Cheating Drama

Khloe Kardashian is planning to reach out to Maralee Nichols, the 31-year-old personal trainer who allegedly gave birth to Tristan Thompson‘s third child on December 2, after she recovers.

According to a new report, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum wants to understand more about the relationship they had as rumors continue to swirl in regard to the supposed overlap that occurred between Tristan’s romances with her and the other woman.

“Khloe is tired of Tristan getting into situations that embarrass her and the family,” a source told Hollywood Life on December 5.“[Khloe] wants to get to the bottom of it all and wants to give him the benefit of the doubt but here we are with yet another instance where Tristan is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Khloe doesn’t know if she should be sad, happy, or indifferent right now. She hopes that it all isn’t true, and time will tell. But in the time being, she isn’t going to jump to conclusions until she has all available info.”

As fans may have heard, Maralee filed for child support prior to the birth of her son, and according to court documents, Tristan admitted that the two of them had sex in Houston in March, where he was celebrating his 30th birthday (with Khloe and their three-year-old daughter True). However, while Maralee has suggested their relationship began five months prior, in late 2020, Tristan claims they had sex just once and is demanding a paternity test be conducted.

A second source revealed Khloe wants to hear Maralee’s side of the story firsthand.

“Khloe wants to speak to Maralee asap and she is planning to reach out to her, but not until Maralee has time to heal from childbirth. She doesn’t want to confront her in any way,” the second source shared. “Khloe wants to speak to her woman to woman, mother to mother. [She] doesn’t know what to believe.”

In 2018, Tristan was caught on video cheating on a then-pregnant Khloe. And the following year, he reportedly kissed the best friend of Khloe’s youngest sister Kylie Jenner, Jordyn Woods, at a party.

“Khloe doesn’t know what to believe because Tristan is telling her that it was a one-night stand, and she is hearing that it was an affair,” the source explained. “Tristan is saying this woman just wants his money and, on the flip side of it, this woman may have just given birth to True’s sibling. At the end of the day, she and Tristan are not together because she cannot trust him. This would just be the icing on the cake.”

Tristan also shares a four-year-old son, Prince, with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.

In other Khloe Kardashian news, the longtime KUWTK star took to her Instagram Story on Sunday night, December 5, where she shared a photo of a bouquet of white and pink roses sent to her by Scott Disick, who shares three children with her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian.

“I love you [Scott Disick],” she captioned the pic. “Thank you.”

“Harlem” Exclusive: Tracy Oliver Says She “Freaked Out” And “Cried” When Jasmine Guy And Whoopi Goldberg Joined The Cast

BOSSIP Sr. Content Director Janeé Bolden spoke with “Harlem” Creator, Executive Producer and Writer, Tracy Oliver about the new show’s diversity of characters and casting process.

“For me, the diversity is across the board, even with how they look,” Oliver told BOSSIP. “That was a deliberate choice of mine and I always approach casting that way because I want to make sure as many Black women as possible see some version of themselves. You can’t really do that if everybody has the same hair texture, if everybody has the same body type, or the same height or even the same cultural background. With Grace, she’s Caribbean and I wanted to make sure she could use the Caribbean accent because on “Empire” she wasn’t allowed to. I was like I would love to embrace that because that’s so much of New York culture is Caribbean culture too. That was important, physically getting a good mix, and I really wanted them to have distinct voices and points of views with life and with Tye being queer, that was important too. A lot of shows like “Living Single” and “Sex And The City,” were like straight women and gay men. Queer women were not part of that narrative and I have so many queer women friends that it didn’t seem right in 2021 to not have a queer woman in their circle.”

Oliver also spoke about casting Whoopi Goldberg and Jasmine Guy, describing them as her 90’s heroes.

“I did not think that both of them would do the show. You go out to your dream people and you think ‘they’ll probably pass.’ But when they both said yes I was freaking out, Jasmine Guy was like ‘Calm down.’ And with Whoopi I think I cried a little bit. Actually I know I cried. It was a big deal to me. I told her, ‘You have no idea. You’re Sister Mary Clarence.’ And Whoopi laughed. She was like ‘You’re so silly.’ She was reading the scripts and she’s a comedienne so I’d hoped she’d laugh but I was like ‘Whoopi thinks I’m funny!’

Oliver also spoke about casting newcomer Sullivan Jones as Meagan Good’s love interest Jameson, noting that the chemistry between them was incredible even when they tested together online, and moreso in person!

“So much so, I reconceived Season 2 because of him,” Oliver told BOSSIP.

Now that’s a good exclusive. We’re excited to learn Jameson may be hanging in there with Camille for Season 2.

Have you guys started watching “Harlem” yet? We’re dying to hear what you think and what your favorite episodes and characters are.

The Furniture Captures A Hypnotic Vibe On New Song ‘Kontrail’: It ‘Seemed To Play Itself’

Ahead of their debut LP, experimental musicians The Furniture share an enchanting soundscape in ‘Kontrail,’ and they share how they crafted this melodic ‘vibe’ of a song.

There are a lot of ways to start your week off right. You can give yourself a few moments to stretch after waking up. You can make sure you get your favorite drink from your favorite coffee store. You can even take a reflective moment on how beauty exists in the world despite so much manufactured ugliness. Heck, you can do all three while listening to “Kontrail,” the new song from experimental music duo The Furniture. After announcing their self-titled debut will arrive on the Spanish Prayers record label in January, the group – Michael Kuhl and Matthew Pierce – have given listeners another taste of things to come. In “Kontrail,” premiering on HollywoodLife, the two craft a sonic landscape that is uplifting, invigorating, and quite captivating. ‘

“Everything from this record came from a single improvised live recording session,” the group shares with HollywoodLife. “We had no preconceived idea about anything we were going to play. Luckily though, while we were playing, we frequently felt many “a-ha” moments. But a lot of times, you’re not sure the ideas are fully worked out until you could go back and listen to the session. For ‘Kontrail,’ though, we could feel the vibe instantly. It was towards the end of our two-hour session, and we were nicely settled in by then. As soon as we heard the main loop hypnotically run its course, everything else seemed to fall where it was supposed to. It seemed to play itself.”

For those who have never heard of the group, it might be hard to pinpoint The Furniture’s sound. To know it, one must feel it, and to feel it, one must experience it for themselves. “With the improvisatory nature of our music, for the most part, it strays away from traditional song-form in favor of a more linear approach. This tends to lead the listener down their own path of discovery,” the group tells us. “But if [we] had to make an elevator pitch, [we] would say that through the mixing of analog and synthesized sounds, whether it be from objects found to ambient components, we draw our inspiration from anything between the German experimental music of the 70’s to Ghanaian drumming and to what is yet to be discovered.”

With improvisation as the driving force behind The Furniture, it means that every performance is unique and that no two concerts are alike. This may be great for the audience but in terms of recording? It could be tricky. If The Furniture thrives on improvisation, how could they pick which sounds and styles they would put down on their upcoming record? Or would they just let everything happen spontaneously?

“For the most part, the making of this record was completely in the moment,” the band tells HollywoodLife. “After we got off a lengthy tour with Cigarettes After Sex on one of their European legs, we didn’t really have many shows except for a couple of one-offs until we made this record. But, in a way, even when we don’t have anything on the books, it seems that we are preparing and anticipating for the next show or recording. We are always talking about different machines, instruments, or objects we found or sharing new music we heard that seems to ultimately find its way into our sound. [We] think that sort of mental imaging plays a big part in the preparation for whenever we play.”

One can experience that for themselves when The Furniture arrives on Jan. 28, 2022, on Spanish Prayers.
