Zaire Wade, son of former NBA star Dwyane Wade, signed a player contract with the G League’s Salt Lake City Stars, an affiliate of the Utah Jazz.

Dwyane, who retired from the NBA in 2019, is part owner of the Jazz, and proudly posted an Instagram video announcing the news.

In the video, Zaire, who is seen celebrating his new contract, states:

“I feel good, I feel confident. I just signed the standard player contract for the G League. October 11, 2021. 19 years old. Yessir.”

Zaire transferred to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire after playing at high school powerhouse Sierra Canyon in California, with LeBron James‘ son Bronny.

Zaire, 2nd from left, sat on the bench for most of his first season at Sierra Canyon High School after tearing a ligament in his right ankle.

The 19-year-old received several offers from small colleges. However, he chose to skip college to follow in his father’s NBA footsteps.

Players who perform well in the G League are typically called up to the NBA where they are awarded with big money contracts.

Zaire’s mother, Siohvaughn Funches, also shares 14-year-old MtF trans Zara, formerly Zion, with ex-husband, Wade.

Zaire has a half brother, Xavier, 7, and half sister, Kaavia, 2.

Designer Decadence Displeasure: Gucci Family Call Ridley Scott’s ‘House of Gucci’ An ‘Insult’ To Their Lavish Legacy

Dysfunction, But Make It Fashion: Lady Gaga Is Dressed To Kill In Deliciously Decadent “House Of Gucci” Trailer

Arrivederci!

The Gucci family isn’t too happy with Ridley Scott’s newly released film “House of Gucci” and they’re shedding “extremely insulted” luxury label tears. Meanwhile, the movie’s defiant director is clapping back.

Source: MGM / MGM

The movie stars Lady Gaga as the infamous Patrizia Reggiani, an Italian socialite who marries the prestigious fashion house by way of Maurizio Gucci, the luxury brand’s former heir, portrayed by Adam Driver.  “House of Gucci” follows Patrizia’s murder plot to kill her husband, a crime she ultimately served 29-years in prison for.

In a statement released to Italian news agency ANSA, the Gucci family said that the film’s production, “did not bother to consult their heirs before describing Aldo Gucci — President of the company for 30 years [played by Al Pacino in the film] — and the members of the Gucci family as thugs, ignorant and insensitive to the world around them,” the statement said according to Variety.

The family slammed the film’s director Ridley Scott for making the characters out to be, well, villains while setting “a tone and an attitude to the protagonists of the well-known events that never belonged to them.”

“This is extremely painful from a human point of view and an insult to the legacy on which the brand is built today,” they added.

Yikes!

Following Gucci’s disapproval of the film, Scott barked back at the descendants of the storied Italian heritage house stating that he found their comments “alarmingly insulting” and that they should feel “lucky” to have a movie made about their complicated family history.

“I tried to be as respectful as possible by being as factual as possible, and as factual as we can possibly imagine,” the director said during a Q&A screening of the film,” Insider noted. “Time and space sometimes has to jump because of the nature of the length of the film. But the people that were writing from the family to us at the onset were alarmingly insulting,” he continued. “Saying that Al Pacino did not represent physically Aldo Gucci in any shape or form. And yet, frankly, how could they be better represented than by Al Pacino? Excuse me! You probably have the best actors in the world, you should be so f****g lucky.”

Bloop!

Prior to the release of “House of Gucci,” Patrizia Gucci, the daughter of Aldo Gucci, accused Scott of trying to steal “the identity of a family to make a profit.” To be fair, Scott has made quite the penny off the film thus far.

“House of Gucci” saw a ton of success at the box office following its debut on Nov. 24. The film raked in $14.2 million over Thanksgiving weekend and another “$21.8 million across five days,” AP News reported.

Seems like Patrizia is looking for Scott to cut the check…not that they really need it, right?

Simone Biles Rocks A Floral Bikini & Strikes A Pose On The Beach

The Olympic gymnast soaked in some sun, as she waded into the ocean for a nice, relaxing day on the shore.

There’s nothing like some summer sun at the end of autumn! While winter may be approaching, Simone Biles had a relaxing beach day on Tuesday November 30. The Olympic gold medalist posted a stunning beach photo, as she looked gorgeous in a white and pink bikini. She looked incredibly at ease to be taking in some warm weather and wading into the shallow water at the ocean’s edge.

The photo showed Simone basking in the sun, with her back to the camera. The bikini that she wore was white with pink flowers all over it. The caption showed how much she was enjoying catching some sun rays. “Never met a beach I didn’t like,” she captioned the picture. She also posted a photo of the off-shoulder bikini’s front on her Instagram Story, and it seemed like she was sitting on a boat in the sexy selfie. “Give it up for the front of this suit,” the 24-year-old star athlete wrote on her Story.

It’s nice to see Simone catching some sun and relaxing. It’s been an eventful year for the gymnast, especially with the Tokyo Olympics taking place this year. She won a silver medal with her team and a bronze for the balance beam at the 2021 games. Simone notably withdrew from some of the Olympic contests to focus on her mental health. She also testified in former Team USA Olympic Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar’s sexual abuse case in July 2021, and tearfully recalled being abused by the physician. She opened up about how she felt she should’ve withdrawn from the Olympics long before she did in Tokyo in a September interview with New York Magazine. ““I should have quit way before Tokyo [Olympics] when Larry Nassar was in the media for two years,” she said. “But I was not going to let him take something I’ve worked for since I was six-years-old. I wasn’t going to let him take that joy away from me. So I pushed past that for as long as my mind and my body would let me.”

#VirgilWasHere Louis Vuitton Artfully Honors Virgil Abloh At Star-Studded Miami Show

Virgil Abloh was memorialized in Miami Tuesday during a star-studded Louis Vuitton show that went on as scheduled per the late designer and his family’s wishes.

Abloh’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection was debuted during the presentation that took place on an elevated platform built outside the Brutalist Miami Marine Stadium.

Several celebs were in attendance for the show including estranged spouses/Virgil’s close friends Kim and Kanye who sat front row alongside their daughter North.

Also spotted were Quavo, Kid Cudi, and Offset who modeled in the presentation…

Gunna…

and Pharrell Williams.

During the show, Virgil was honored in several ways including via a monumental statue…

and via a hot-air balloon and paper planes that tied into one of Virgil’s ideologies.

His creative collaborator Anders Christian Madsen noted that the designer wanted people to liberate themselves from “the prejudices society puts in our heads growing up.”

“He wanted to imagine he could fly,” said Madsen.

“Paper planes and balloons were symbols of the ideology Virgil referred to as “boyhood”: childhood objects loaded with ideas of possibility, opportunity, and hope. “Limitations,” he once wrote to me, “are manmade.” He literally didn’t believe in impossibility. Before our meetings, he’d ask me to read everything from Kierkegaard to Mann and Berger,” wrote the creative collaborator on Instagram.

Virgil wanted people to stop treating each other according to how they look, or where they grew up, or what their job is. He truly and purely approached the world like that. He’d often ask me to open his texts with words like “imagine” or “picture” or “what if.”

The show closed with the late designer’s voice as he read a quote about making the best of the brevity of life.

“There’s no limit … ,” Abloh was heard saying. “Life is so short that you can’t waste even a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do versus knowing what you can do.”

“Virgil Was Here” was then illuminated in the sky.
