RHOSLC Recap: Jen’s Husband Duy Suggests a Sister Wife as She Cries Over Losing Babies, Lisa Tries to Clear Name

RHOSLC Recap: Is Lisa Trying to Clear Her Name in Front of Whitney? Is Mary on the Road to Divorce with Robert Sr.? Plus, Should Jennie Have a Sister-Wife?!

On this episode of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City, motives are questioned and relationships are shaken up.  Can Whitney and Lisa ever really be friends?  And how many times must Jennie tell her husband, Duy, that she does not want any more children, despite his pressuring?

“I do know my way around the pole…” OF COURSE you do, Whitney. She has decided to get her new-found-friend Lisa to open her legs and have some fun…on the silks.  Lisa states she is having a good time with Whitney.  With this new softer Lisa, is there hope for a reconciliation between Lisa and Heather?

Robert Sr. is home from Florida and Mary is slightly disappointed that her husband is back in Salt Lake City. Mary explains that when Robert gets “comfortable,” she begins thinking of the next place he can go visit to give her peace once again.  “I don’t think we know each other” and Mary points out that Robert doesn’t even know she loves long grain rice. #dealbreaker.

Meredith, Lisa, and Jennie gather to get their feet kissed by fish.  Meredith wastes no time wanting to hear about Lisa’s visit with Whitney.  Lisa shares that they had fun and after an awkward segue, Jennie asks for some input from the ladies.  She comes right out to tell the girls that her husband, Duy, has been pushing her to have more children.

Jennie shares that she had a still-born baby at 42 weeks.  Jennie tells the girls that she was sedated and did not see the whole thing go down, but Duy did.  And Jennie feels as though Duy has been traumatized by the entire event.  It is heartbreaking to hear her talk about it and Meredith suggests that the couple go see a counselor before it seriously hurts the marriage.

“Talk to me Big T, what’d you get in this week?” Who talks to their jeweler like that?! Jen Shah!  She decides to do something symbolic to help the group of girls come together as a group for once and for all.  The jeweler suggests creating a snowflake necklace for every woman, since no two snowflakes are alike, just like the girls. Six snowflakes will set Jen back around $3,200.00, but she’s not even batting an eye at the cost. Hmmm.

Heather is busy trying to figure out college life with her daughter, Ashley.  FINALLY Heather admits she feels like she is “living vicariously” through her daughter and then she proceeds to have an incredibly uncomfortable chat about the birds and the bees. Heather is super concerned about the world her daughter is about to enter, but something tells me this ain’t Ashley’s first rodeo.

It’s time for a double date, but it’s an unlikely crew: Whitney and Lisa, plus their husbands.  Whitney suggests Lisa get a pole in her house and her husband, John, is all about it. It’s more awkward that the husbands are the actual friends in this foursome and as Lisa tries to sprinkle Whitney with kindness, it all seems a little fishy.

Whitney figures out that the restaurant they are attending is owned by the caterers who backed out of Angie’s event.  Out of NOWHERE, the owner’s wife comes over and blurts out that she cannot believe what Angie is doing to Lisa. Clearly Lisa has been running around trying to clear her own name from this mess, but Whitney claims she can see right through Lisa’s plan. “Are you kidding me? This is so f*cking staged,” screams Whitney.

Whitney believes she has walked into a trap with Lisa and that Lisa only brought Whitney to the restaurant to prove her innocence.  Lisa is baffled that Whitney can even *think* like she is on CSI.  Lisa is more concerned about the relationship Whitney could be potentially ruining with the restaurant that carries her tequila.  Now the husbands are kicking themselves for trying to get the wives together…

Lisa makes it clear that she did nothing wrong when it came to Angie and as the women’s voices get louder and louder, the husbands just look on like, can we eat this food in front of us?  Whitney states that they must move forward and look towards the future, but trust is something that may never come to be in that “friendship.”

While Coach and his son train, Jen comes out and tells them that she is planning on volunteering at her son’s school as a step toward trying to repair their relationship. Her son looks absolutely appalled at Jen trying to insert herself in his life and it’s making me wonder if he was the one who called the Feds on her… did you see his face when she was speaking?!

Don’t you all play tennis in go-go boots ala Meredith Marks?  Thankfully, she changes into some trainers before stepping on the court with Mary and it’s an absolutely painful segment to watch, as Mary simply cannot play the game.  She only looks the part. After a short time, they sit down for a break and talk life. Mary tells Meredith that she likes the way Meredith lives with Seth and she begins to share about her life with Robert Sr. Mary states that she enjoys having her own space and in her confessional she says, “I would change Robert Sr.  Like, the whole person.”  Oooph. Mary is scared to be left alone with Sr if Jr would (ever) leave the house and she is afraid to see what life would be like stuck empty-nesting with her husband.

Jennie and her husband, Duy, are out having some quality time together and they seem quite cute during their outdoor activity.  But things take a turn when they sit down and talk about the future of their family.  Duy consistently pushes the more kids storyline, but Jennie is set on not starting over.  She reminds Duy her feelings on the topic and of the 10 miscarriages she experienced.  Jennie tearfully tries to get through to Duy, who wants more kids to “replenish the earth.”

Duy claims to understand where his wife comes from and he reminds her of March 15, the day they lost their baby in the hospital.  He tells Jennie that there is an emptiness and that the baby could never be replaced, but perhaps having more kids would be best.  Duy suggests a surrogate and adoption and even goes as far as asking about a sister wife.  AND HE IS ACTUALLY SERIOUS.  Duy explains that sister wives are not uncommon in their Vietnamese culture, but Jennie is left speechless.  She tells Duy this is all about him, not about their family and she is beyond angry that he has gone that far.  Seems like Duy signed up for the wrong tv show…

‘Lost In Space’s Mina Sundwall Reveals Why She’s ‘Really Proud’ Of How Penny’s Story Ended

‘Lost In Space’ wrapped up its 3-season run with a beautiful and touching finale. HL spoke EXCLUSIVELY with Mina Sundwall about Penny’s ending, possibly returning to the role down the road, and more.

Lost In Space’s third and final season ended with all of our favorite characters starting their next chapter. The final moments saw Penny writing a book about her family and the robots. She revealed that this is just the first chapter in her story. HollywoodLife got the chance to speak EXCLUSIVELY with Mina Sundwall about Penny’s fate.

“I, especially for Penny, was really proud of where her story ended,” Mina told HollywoodLife. “There were questions in season 1 and season 2 about what she could contribute and what her place in the family was. Something that I admired about her from the beginning was that she never put up a front, even if it would be easier to fit in. I think because of that, she was able to go on her own hero’s journey, so I’m pleased with where she ended up at the end of season 3.”

The ending of Lost In Space leaves it wide open for all of the characters. Mina has an idea of where she thinks Penny will do next. “I hope that she takes time when they arrive in Alpha Centauri and settles into writing,” Mina explained. “I think that she is the type of person that could be the voice for people who are often overlooked or not listened to and write stories that make a difference and matter. I would like to think that that’s where her journey goes.”

Mina admitted that the ending montage featuring Penny’s voiceover was “emotional to record. I thought it was beautiful. To be able to know where they ended up but not know everything about what happens is a special place to be in. I loved it.”

The series finale included a kiss between Penny and Vijay. Mina weighed in about the fate of that relationship. “It’s hard to say because their on-again, off-again, up and down, roller-coaster teenage relationship was partially due to the fact that they were going through this very, in many ways, traumatic journey together,” Mina said. “But also they were really the two teenagers. They’re really the only two. So there was not much choice. They got close because they were the two that understood each other the best because they were the closest in age. There was no one in their world really. I would hope that that maintains outside of the world. I think that they have gone through something together that is so specific to their age and the journey that they went on that I think that they’d be friends for a really long time. I don’t know about a romantic life for Penny, but at least friends.”

The Netflix series was a reboot of the CBS series that ran from 1965 to 1968. Since Hollywood is all about revivals, HollywoodLife asked Mina if she’d want to reprise the role of Penny down the road. “I don’t even know what I’m going to do tomorrow, so I have no idea,” she said. “I absolutely would think about it down the road, but I’d love to settle with these 3 seasons for a moment.”

For Mina, her journey on Lost In Space often mirrored her character. The tremendous impact of the show and Penny Robinson on Mina is not lost on the actress.

“It’s been the greater part of my life for the last 5 years,” Mina noted. “I started when I was 15 and I’m 20 now. I grew up with Penny. I grew up on this show in very formative years of my life. There are a lot of things that I drew from the character and from the show. She and I were always similar ages so some of the emotional twists and turns of teenage life we were going through at similar times. I was able to draw on her experience and her problem solving, and then my experience and mesh the two in this happy middle world as I was growing up. But then the experience of being on the show, of course, and being surrounded by so many talented, hard-working, caring, driven adults to look up to and learn from, I’m eternally grateful for because that’s taught me much about how I act, whether that’s on set or in life and what I value and how I can communicate. It’s been fantastic. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

‘RHOC’ Heather Dubrow Felt “Blindsided” by Party Drama

Published

RHOC's Heather Dubrow Says She Was "Blindsided" by Party Drama, Teases Drama With Nicole, and Talks Being "Exonerated" in Shannon Drama

Heather Dubrow made a dramatic return to The Real Housewives of Orange County on Wednesday on the premiere episode of season 16.

After Gina Kirschenheiter was seen revealing what Shannon Beador had told her about newbie Nicole James‘ alleged past lawsuit against Heather’s husband, Botched surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, Heather was seen telling everyone to leave her 22,000-square-foot home. But did she really kick them out?

“”I’ll have to let you watch and see what actually happens but that was my first instinct. It was a lot,” she told Access Hollywood on the December 3 episode of their Housewives Nightcap series. “I didn’t expect it to happen. Things go so off-the-rails that it’s like the party is completely hijacked in such a hideous way and I felt so completely blindsided and betrayed and pissed and upset.”

While Shannon was the source of the information, she didn’t bring it up on camera. Instead, she passed the information on to Gina, who then mentioned Nicole’s reported case against Heather’s husband. That said, there doesn’t appear to be any ill will between Heather and Gina. In fact, they seemed to get along fittingly during filming and Heather admitted to liking Gina right away.

“I had never met [Gina and Emily Simpson], ever, and then the night before I was supposed to film with Gina, I run into Emily, Gina, and Shannon at Javier’s. I said, ‘Hello,’ went to the bathroom, came back and Emily and Gina had left. They wanted to authentically meet me on-camera so the audience didn’t miss any of it, which I loved,” Heather recalled. “I thought, ‘I like those girls. That’s really cool and that’s very authentic. I really like that.’ So right from the start, I appreciated that.”

Although Heather and Gina appear to have remained on good terms throughout season 16, the same can’t be said for Heather and Shannon.

“I think we both came in with the absolute best of intentions and it went off the rails in a really not okay way and as you watch it, you’ll see how we handle it and how and if we move forward,” Heather explained. “I couldn’t even describe it but it’s going to be something people talk about. What do you do when friendships go off the rails like this, or if you have information about someone, what is appropriate?”

Heather also addressed the drama she faced with Shannon when they were first seen alongside one another on RHOC years ago. As fans will recall, Shannon accused Heather of talking about her past marriage to David Beador behind her back.

“There’s a lot more going on behind the scenes to that moment that I’ve never talked about. But I did talk about it this season. It’s time for me to be exonerated,” Heather stated.

Also during the interview, Heather shared her thoughts on the new cast members, including Noella Bergener and Dr. Jen Armstrong.

“I didn’t get to really know Jen and Noella right off the bat. Noella and I had lunch with Nicole and we had a nice time but it was lunch. She gave me a lot of information. That I knew. She likes to share — a lot. I didn’t really get to know Noella and Jen until later,” Heather said.

Heather then teased potentially upcoming drama with Nicole, who was rumored to have either quit or been demoted amid production.

“Nicole is a friend of mine and I’ve known her for years and you’re going to have to see how that whole situation plays out,” she added.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 16 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.

New York City mayor Bill de Blasio announced new vaccine mandates covering all private-sector workers and children ages 5-11.

De Blasio announced on Monday that the new mandate, effective Dec. 27, is a “preemptive strike” to stop the new Covid-19 omicron variant, which causes mild to no symptoms.

“We’ve got omicron as a new factor, we’ve got the colder weather, which is going to really create additional challenges with the delta variant, we’ve got holiday gatherings,” de Blasio said during an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

“We in New York City have decided to use a preemptive strike to really do something bold to stop the further growth of COVID and the danger it’s causing to all of us.

“So as of today we’re going to announce a first in the nation measure, our health commissioner will announce a vaccine mandate for private-sector employers across the board, all private sector employers in New York City will be covered by this vaccine mandate as of Dec. 27.”

De Blasio also announced that starting Dec. 14 children ages 5-11 will have to show proof of vaccination to attend indoor entertainment or activities.

NYC residents ages 12 and older already are required to show proof of vaccination in order to enter restaurants or fitness facilities.

NYC’s Covid mandates are the strictest of any major metropolitan city in the US.

De Blasio’s term as mayor ends at midnight on January 1, 2022 when Mayor-elect Eric Adams begins his term.
