It goes without saying that racists contain high levels of saturated fat, cholesterol, high fructose corn syrup, carcinogens, and other ingredients that can do severe damage to your body. If you’re Black or part of almost any minority population, you’ve known this practically your whole life. However, America is generally a very unhealthy country so it’s no surprise that a government agency would feel compelled to notify the public of the potential risks.
According to The Hill, the New York City Board of Health has declared racism a public health crisis. In the ongoing wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the protests of 2020, the board adopted a resolution this week to address the effects that racism has had on the Big Apple. The agreement set forth a mission to broaden the scope of the NYCBH to create a “racially just recovery from COVID-19 and other actions – including resource allocation – to address this public health crisis in the short and long-term.”
One of the measures that will be taken to address racism in this context is the establishment of an internal Data for Equity group that will advise the city’s agencies on how to look at public health data through the lens of race. Who is affected most and who needs resources for recovery? The anti-Critical Race Theory clowns like Condoleeza Rice will probably hate this idea.
Several other nationwide entities have already acknowledged the role that racism plays on public health including the Center for Disease Control, the American Public Health Association, and the American Medical Association.
Model Diamond Brown has been showcasing her pregnant belly on Instagram. She hasn’t revealed who her baby’s father is — but some fans are theorizing it’s Chris Brown.
Diamond Brown, the gorgeous model who was romantically linked to Chris Brown back in 2019, is pregnant. Diamond first announced her pregnancy on September 9 by sharing a stunning photo of herself showing off her baby bump in Hawaii. “Just when you think you know love, something little comes along to remind you just how big it really is,” she captioned the Instagram post. Since then, Diamond has continued to share pics of her growing belly, including when she celebrated her baby shower on November 7 in Los Angeles.
So far, Diamond has not publicly revealed the identity of her baby’s father. But due to her rumored past fling with Chris, 32, fans are speculating that the child is the “Forever” singer’s. In the comments section of Diamond’s Nov. 24 Instagram post, one follower said, “baby breezy is almost here.” A different fan said, “Young CB coming soon,” while a third follower even tagged Chris in the comments and congratulated him, alongside a baby bottle emoji and a teddy bear emoji.
Chris hasn’t responded to any of the speculation about Diamond’s pregnancy. HollywoodLife reached out to Chris and Diamond’s reps for comment, but we haven’t heard back. The pair were previously romantically linked in June 2019, when Chris “liked” one of the young model’s IG posts while Ammika Harris was pregnant with Chris’ second child, son Aeko Brown, 2. Diamond had also attended the superstar’s 30th birthday party in May 2019.
Chris is currently a father to two children: son Aeko and daughter Royalty Brown, 7. He shares Royalty with ex Nia Guzman, and they live in California. Aeko, meanwhile, lives in Germany with Ammika, which makes it hard for Chris to see his son. However, sources have previously told HL that despite the distance, Chris makes sure to go “above and beyond to connect” with Aeko. “Chris is always sending little gifts,” a friend of Chris’ said in October. “He can’t wait to continue seeing his little boy grow up.”
Vicki Gunvalson and Brandi Glanville butted heads amid filming on Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip season two.
After describing the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star as “so brash,” the Real Housewives of Orange County alum revealed who “brought it” to production before confirming her past COVID-19 diagnosis and discussing how life has been treating her since her split from former fiancé Steve Lodge.
“Brandi and I did not hit it off in the very beginning. She told me to shut the f-ck up like twice, and I almost did a table flip,” Vicki admitted on the November 25 episode of The Sl-t Pig Podcast. “I was so mad at her. I said, ‘You don’t talk to me that way. You may talk to these other women that way, but you don’t talk to me that way.’”
Although Brandi initially agreed, that wasn’t their final encounter.
“The next day, she said, ‘Shut the f–k up.’ again. I was like, ‘Okay, Mama B-tch is coming out. We don’t talk that way to me.’ So that’s probably going to be a trailer, maybe. I don’t know,” Vicki teased. “I thought she was very clear that I don’t get talked to that way… So I kind of went psycho b-tch on her. After that, she knew what Mama Bear was.”
Amid her drama with Brandi, Vicki said she established a deep connection with Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks.
“Phaedra’s pretty incredible. I’m very spiritual and so is she. So we connected on that level,” she shared. “The last night was so moving. I cannot tell you want happened. It was like God came down and wrapped me in his arms and said, ‘You’re going to be just fine. Just follow me. Follow my lead.’ So every day I journal, I pray. I’m trying to understand what God’s message is in all this heartache I go through.”
While Vicki ended the trip, which was filmed in the Berkshires, on a high note, she said there was plenty of drama along the way — much of which she brought to the second season of the Peacock spinoff.
“I brought it. [And] Dorinda did in a weird way [as well],” she explained, giving a nod to Dorinda Medley, formerly of The Real Housewives of New York City, who she reportedly feuded with throughout production.
Prior to the start of production, Vicki was hit with a number of challenges, including a positive COVID-19 test.
“I had just recovered from COVID. I tested negative four days before we left. Everybody had to get tested every day. So our door was knocked on between 6 and 6:30 every morning. So that was interesting. But I was exhausted,” she confused.
She was also faced with her unexpected split from Steve.
“My fiancé [sent] me a text that he moved out and [was heading] over to my condo in Mexico but I didn’t know he was taking the bimbo with him. And he moved out,” she recalled. “I was out of my mind.”
Since then, Vicki said she and Steve haven’t spoken.
“I haven’t talked to him. He would text or email and now he blocked me on the texting. I don’t know how that happens. We were living together and we’re sharing life together. We were talking about buying a place in Tennessee just a week before that,” she explained.
Now, Vicki continued, “I stay at work until between 8 and 10 at night because I don’t want to come home to an empty house. And then I go right to bed so I don’t have to think. It’s really a challenge for me right now. I really miss him a lot… I just need to be me again. I haven’t been me since the day he texted me that he was leaving me. I can’t cry anymore. There’s no more tears in my body. I’ve lost 32 pounds.”
As Vicki’s heartache continues, she’s trying to put herself back out there.
“I have a date tonight. [It’s my] first date. I met him at a golf course nearby here that was hosting a band. He’s 62, he was engaged. She cheated on him. And he’s from the Midwest. Where he was from, he played wrestling against my high school. So it’s kind of interesting,” she revealed on the podcast.
“I’m actually very scared. I have not been on a date forever. [But] I’m going to try this,” she added.
The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip is expected to premiere on Peacock sometime in 2022.
