After a lot of relationship ups and downs, Amanda Stanton has found her happily ever after! ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘BIP’ vet announced her engagement to Michael Fogel on Dec. 2.
Amanda Stanton is engaged! The mom of two took to Instagram on Dec. 2. to announce that she is going to marry her boyfriend, Michael Fogel. She posted a photo of herself and Michael hugging in front o the Christmas tree, with her new engagement ring on display. “YES!!!” she captioned the photo, along with a diamond ring emoji. In the pic, Amanda looks blissfully happy as she stares into her man’s eyes.
It’s no secret that it’s been a rough (and very public) road for Amanda to get to this point. The reality star shares two daughters with her ex-husband, Nick Buonfiglio. She appeared on The Bachelor in 2016, where she dated Ben Higgins and made it to the final three. After her stint on The Bachelor, she went on Bachelor in Paradise during the summer of 2016. There, she met Josh Murray and they got engaged. Unfortunately, the relationship was short-lived, and they split after less than six months in Dec. 2016.
Amanda didn’t give up, though, and in 2017, she gave Bachelor in Paradise another try. She left the show with Robby Hayes and they dated for a short time afterward. Months later, the two had a very public feud on social media as they publicly dealt with the aftermath of their messy split. In 2018, Amanda started dating Bobby Jacobs, and they were together for about a year before he “blindsided” her by ending the relationship.
In Feb. 2021, Amanda went public with her relationship with Michael, who she had been friends with for years before things turned romantic. By August, Amanda publicly admitted that she was ready for Michael to propose, and now, she wish has been granted!
After announcing her engagement, Amanda was flooded with congratulatory messages from fellow Bachelor Nation alum. “Omggg congrats, Amanda!!!!” Jade Roper wrote, while Ashley Iaconetti gushed, “Holy s***!!!!! Ahhh congratulations!!! So happy for you two!!!!” Congratulations to the happy couple!
Nicole Kidman stunned in an elegant white dress at the premiere of ‘Being the Ricardos,’ her upcoming film about Hollywood power couple Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.
Nicole Kidman looked old Hollywood elegant at the premiere of her upcoming film, Being the Ricardos. The Academy Award winner, 54, wore a simple white dress with black bows towards her waist at the premiere in New York on Thursday, Dec. 2.
Her co-star Javier Bardem also looked dapper on the blue carpet, wearing a plum purple blazer over a white button up and black dress pants. The actor, 52, stars opposite Nicole in the biographical drama centered on Hollywood couple Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.
Directed by Aaron Sorkin, the film will explore the complex personal and professional relationship between the late stars and former husband and wife, beloved for their 1951 sitcom I Love Lucy and other iterations and spin-offs that followed.
The film, out in theaters on Dec. 10 and Amazon Prime Video on Dec. 21, also stars Nina Arianda as Vivian Vance and J.K. Simmons as William Frawley. The news of Nicole’s casting as the famed actress and comedian initially caused a stir: some fans bemoaned the fact that the actress bears no resemblance to Lucille. Aaron defended the casting choice in February, assuring movie-goers that Nicole and Javier are “fantastic.”
“I think that the people thought that we’ve cast them as Lucy and Ricky Ricardo,” the director told Entertainment Tonight in February. “The film takes place during a production week of I Love Lucy — a Monday table read to Friday audience taping, with a whole bunch of long flashbacks which are telling the story that got us here.”
He continued, “Because there’s a table read, there’s rehearsals and then there’s tape night, [so] we do see moments of them being Lucy and Ricky Ricardo. We see moments from an episode of I Love Lucy. But mostly they are playing Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. And they’re going to be fantastic. These are two of the greatest actors ever.”
As for the backlash of her casting, Nicole recently admitted that it caused anxiety, revealing that she tried to drop out of the role. While she loved the screenplay, “When the reality of playing her hit me, I went, ‘What I have said yes to?’” she said while on Live With Kelly and Ryan on Thursday. “To which I then went, ‘Oh no, I’m not right. Everyone thinks I’m not right, so I’m going to try to sidestep this.’”
The film crew, of course, had other ideas, much to her appreciation. “The producer Todd Black and Aaron Sorkin were both like, ‘Absolutely not,’” Nicole said. “I was in Australia and they were like, ‘No.’ And thank God, because then I was so grateful because I got to fall in love with her.”
Aziz Ansari reportedly shared the big news of his engagement at a surprise comedy show in NYC, and the crowd apparently had a very excited reaction.
Aziz Ansari is engaged, according to Page Six. The 38-year-old actor and comedian reportedly revealed that he got engaged to his girlfriend, Danish forensic data scientist Serena Skov Campbell, during a surprise stand-up set at the Comedy Cellar in New York City on Wednesday night (December 1). The news comes from Page Six sources, who were reportedly in attendance for the big reveal. “Everyone was super excited and very much clapping,” the outlet reported a source saying. HollywoodLife has reached out to Aziz’s rep to confirm this news. But if it is indeed true, a big congratulations goes out to the happy couple!
It’s unclear how long Aziz has been dating Serena, though they were reportedly seen together in September 2018 at a U.S. Open match. In 2019, Aziz reportedly told the crowd during a comedy show at Radio City Music Hall that he was planning to take Serena to India to meet his grandmother, according to Page Six. Serena’s LinkedIn says she works at PwC in London as a senior associate of forensic investigative analytics. She’s held that position since September 2019, her page states.
Aziz has been laying fairly low ever since he was accused of sexual assault in January 2019. The accuser, a 23-year-old Brooklyn-based photographer under the alias “Grace”, came forward with allegations that she had an “uncomfortable” sexual encounter with the comedian. In response, Aziz released the following statement: “In September of last year, I met a woman at a party. We exchanged numbers. We texted back and forth and eventually went on a date. We went out to dinner, and afterwards we ended up engaging in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual. The next day, I got a text from her saying that although it may have seemed okay, upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.”
A few months after the accusation, Aziz released his fifth comedy special, Aziz Ansari: Right Now. This year, the third season of his Emmy Award-winning comedy-drama series Master of None came out on Netflix.
