Who is Sandra Bullock’s boyfriend, Bryan Randall, whom she’s dated since 2015? Here we break down 5 things to know about the actress’ beau whom she recently called a ‘saint.’

Sandra Bullock, 57, has been dating boyfriend Bryan Randall, 55, since 2015, but the couple doesn’t like to  spend too much time in the spotlight together, keeping their relationship pretty low-key, In a recent appearance on Red Table Talk, however, Sandra got candid about some intimate details about her life, calling Bryan a “saint” and the “love of my life,” detailing how they’ve kept their relationship strong over the years.

So who is Bryan Randall? “He’s the guy who will always get the door or get her jacket and help put it on,” a friend of the Bird Box actress told Us Weekly in Nov. 2017. “Bryan takes care of her in all of the right ways. She feels loved and appreciated all of the time.”

In addition to how much Bryan loves his A-list actress girlfriend, below we’re breaking down five things to know about the man who stole Sandra’s heart and cares for her kids.

He’s a photographer from Portland

Bryan works as a professional photographer and has worked in L.A. for some time. He runs a successful company called Bryan Randall Photography and mainly focuses on outdoor scenes and children’s portraits. Although he enjoys living in California with Sandra, he’s actually from the northern part of the West Coast — Portland, Oregon to be exact. Back in 2015, a source revealed to PEOPLE that his relationship with Sandra was the “word on the Portland street” with “everyone [thinking] it’s great he’s dating [Sandra].”

He’s a dad

Like Sandra, who has two adopted children, son Louis (b. 2010) and daughter Laila (b. 2012), Bryan also has an adult daughter named Skylar Staten Randall, from a previous relationship. Although not much is known about their father-daughter relationship, a source previously told PEOPLE in 2015 that the doting dad is a true family man. “He’s a great guy and had a great family life growing up,” a family friend told the publication. “His parents are amazing people. Everyone is really proud of him for being a talented photographer and model.”

He used to be a fashion model

Although the Portland-born photographer may have been thrust into the public sphere with his A-list girlfriend, it turns out he’s actually familiar with the spotlight himself. Before he took up photography, he previously worked as a high-end fashion model, gracing the pages of Vogue Paris and doing ads for major labels like Hugo Boss and Saint Laurent. He also appeared alongside supermodel Cindy Crawford for a 2011 spread in Harper’s Bazaar Singapore.

He previously dated other stars in Hollywood

Just like his familiarity with show business from modeling, Bryan also dabbled in other Hollywood romances before Sandra. He once dated Paris St. John, daughter of The Young and the Restless’ Kristoff St. John and boxer Mia St. JohnMia told Us Weekly in 2015 that Bryan was “kooky, goofy” and was “so funny” and “very young at heart.” She also called him a “free spirit” and that he “couldn’t care less about money,” saying he was able to “live off the land.”

In addition to his romantic connections in tinsel town, Bryan also briefly studied acting at L.A. drama school Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop, per PEOPLE. A few of the screenwriter and former actor’s students at the studio include Jenna Dewan and Shailene Woodley.

Sandra’s kids adore him

As we mentioned above, Bryan is a known family man, which is why he was a great fit for Sandra and her two adopted children, Louis and Laila, According to a source, Bryan “couldn’t be more involved” with the upbringing of the Ocean’s Eight star’s kids, reported Closer. “The kids adore Bryan and of course Sandra still pinches herself that she’s been so lucky finding Bryan.”

The insider went on to share that her kids also love spending time with the photographer and their mom, soaking up new experiences together. “[Sandra and Bryan] prefer private time, like hiking with the kids, exploring nature. But their outings to public places and restaurants, like their recent visit to Soho House in West Hollywood, are just as special,” the source added. “They get a real kick out of them interacting with people. Sandra loves being a mom and she sees how time flies by, she doesn’t want to miss a moment of this special time.”

Dick Van Dyke

The legendary star of TV and film who won five Emmys, a Tony and a Grammy has four amazing children. Find out all about them here!

The legendary actor Dick Van Dyke has had one of the most impressive careers in Hollywood. Born on December 13, 1925 in Missouri, Dick got his start in radio as a DJ before touring nightclubs with a comedic mime act. At the age of 34, he landed the lead role of Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, which earned him a Tony! Dick became a household name when he starred in his own sitcom from 1961 to 1966 called The Dick Van Dyke Show, which also featured Mary Tyler Moore as his wife. On the big screen, the comedian would win hearts in Mary Poppins alongside Julie Andrews and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, where he played a loveable screwball inventor. Later in his career, he would find a new legion of fans for his TV series Diagnosis: Murder, which ran on CBS from 1993 to 2001.

In his personal life, Dick has married twice: to Margerie Willett from 1948 to 1984 and to Arlene Silver in 2012. His marriage to Margerie saw the couple welcome four children: Christian, Barry, Stacy and Carrie Beth. Find out all about them, below.

Christian Van Dyke

Christian is Dick and Margerie’s first-born child, although his birthdate is not publicly known. He appeared alongside his famous father on The Dick Van Dyke Show before taking a more conventional career path. Christian became an attorney and also worked as a marketing director for Nike USA, according to Glamour Path.

Christian welcomed daughter Jessica Lee Van Dyke with his wife Carline A. Heller on January 1, 1974 in Phoenix, per the outlet. Sadly, she reportedly died at the age of 13 in 1987 due to a rare disease.

Barry Van Dyke

Born on July 31, 1951 in Atlanta, Barry grew up to follow in his father’s footsteps. After appearing alongside his brother Christian in The Dick Van Dyke Show as a child, Barry would reunite onscreen with dad Dick for Diagnosis: Murder in a lead role. He would go on to make appearances in such 1980s hits like Remington Steele, The Love Boat, Magnum, P.I. and The Dukes of Hazzard.

In a 1987 interview for Born Famous, Barry spoke about how his father let him choose his path in Hollywood. “I think he wanted me to find my own way, in my own time and to be able to feel like I had done it on my own. So, I appreciate that.”

In 1974, he married Mary Carey. The couple would go on to welcome four of their own children: Carey, Shane, Wes and Taryn.

Carrie Beth Van Dyke

Carrie Beth is the third child of Dick and Margie. Following her older brothers’ leads, she tried her hand in acting as well, appearing in two episodes of The New Dick Van Dyke Show in 1971 as a Girl Scout. Carrie Beth has no other credits to her name and being quite the private person, little is known about her, other than she married Kevin McNally in 1983, and the couple welcomed two children together, according to IMDB.

Stacy Van Dyke

As the youngest of Dick and Margie’s brood, Stacy still got a bit of the acting bug. She made an appearance on The New Dick Van Dyke Show in 1971. Years later, she landed a role on The Mike Douglas Show, according to Closer. Much like her older sister, Stacy is a very private person and stays out of the spotlight. Other than a part in 2002’s Diagnosis Murder: Town Without Pity, little else is known about Stacy.

Ari Lennox Swears Off Interviews & Visits To South Africa After Disrespectful Podcast Appearance

Y’all better stop playing with Ari!

Ari Lennox is so fed up after a run-in with podcaster MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho that Complex reports she swore off interviews and ever visiting MacG’s native country of South Africa. The R&B singer appeared on his Podcast and Chill show where a question about very sexy lyrics one of her songs called “Pop” turned into an ambush that left her feeling blindsided. “And where are we at right now? Is someone fucking you good right now?” MacG asked.

The 30-year-old was obviously shocked and uncomfortable with the question while the host simply continued laughing. “Oh my god. Wow! That’s a wild question,” she said. Why ask it that way? Whoa.” He brought up her own lyrics to justify coming at her sideways with that personal question. Despite the inappropriate turn, Ari tried to push through it and finish the interview like the professional she is.  After the interview, the “Pressure” singer took to Twitter to share her frustration with the unacceptable situation.

“I’m just like…why was I alone on a call full of people? Why didn’t anyone intervene?” she wrote on Friday. “And why wasn’t parts of the interview destroyed like the team promised? Why did it happen to begin with? I just feel slow and ambushed and blindsighted. Just because I happily and freely sing/write about sex don’t make any kind of creepy disrespect warranted. I clearly was in immense shock and hate that I didn’t react differently.”

MacG is known for catching guests off-guard with controversial questions, but that doesn’t mean Ari should have to put up with this kind of treatment. Although she is known for being down-to-earth and accessible, this moment was the last straw. After repeatedly getting trolled for her looks and even bullied online for enjoying her trip to Ghana, Ari is going the Beyoncé route and shutting down interviews for the foreseeable future.

“I’m tired of the narrative,” she wrote. “Exhausted. I’m good I promise. But as for interviews I’m not doing them anymore. There’s enough lives and interviews out there already. … I’ve been my most happiest creating music and exploring life sober. I’m not allowing anything to tamper with my peace anymore.”

Publicly checking MacG and everyone involved in the interview wasn’t enough. Ari called out everyone making comments that defended the disrespect. In response to a comment saying, “If you hate being treated like a piece of meat then stop marketing yourself as a butchery,” she swore off ever stepping foot in the whole country. It sounds a bit extreme, but who wants to visit a country full of people telling you that you deserve to be sexually harassed or even worse for putting out songs with sexual lyrics? Hard pass!

“South Africa! Y’all got it!!! Heard you loud and clear. This won’t be a place I will ever visit,” she wrote. “Really got grown men justifying rape and predatory culture. Disgusting.”

Hopefully, a break from social media and interviews is just what Ari needs to focus on the follow-up to her instant classic Shea Butter Baby album.
