Criminals in California are wearing “police-type” gear to follow people home and rob them or burglarize their homes.
Follow-home robberies have spiked in California as brazen thugs are empowered by prosecutors who are lax on crime.
Surveillance video outside one home in the Fairfax area shows armed suspects wearing police gear and holding the victims at gunpoint outside their home before forcing them inside.
According to Fox News, the armed suspects claimed to be DEA agents before violently confronting them.
The thieves wore fake police badges and black vests with “police” written on them.
One suspect threw a punch and yelled at the nervous homeowner as he fumbled with his key to open the front door.
Once the door was unlocked, the armed robbers pushed the victims inside and stole cash, valuables and electronics.
An LAPD spokesperson told Fox News that a task force has been created to address follow-home crimes. But like most crimes committed now in Los Angeles, if the criminals are arrested, they will be released back on the streets without posting bail.
Last week, 14 suspects involved in smash-and-grab robberies at high-end stores were arrested and released back on the street within hours.
‘MacGruber’ is back! Wille Forte revived the beloved character for a hilarious ‘SNL’ sketch on Jan. 22.
Will Forte, 51, brought MacGruber back to Saturday Night Live! Fresh off the opening monologue, the show went right into the sketch which featured Will as the title character and former co-star Kristin Wiig as Vicki in a Bank Control Room. “If we don’t dismantle the C4 explosive, this building is going to explode sky high — 60 seconds!” Vicki declared to Will’s MacGruber.
“Okay, don’t worry gang — we can do this if we work together as a team. I know this whole COVID situation is really changed the game, so we gotta be smart about this. We’re in a small room with very limited airflow,” he explained calmly over the alarm. “Great thinking, MacGruber!” Vicki said, as she handed him the can. Both then handed them their masks as he lit them on fire in a can.
“MacGruber, what are you doing?” a confused Vicki said, noting she “really wanted to wear that mask.” Will’s MacGruber felt he could “finally breathe” as he reminded them he’s “vaxxed and relaxed.” Only problem? The vaccine card read Fizer, not Pfizer — prompting Vicki to wonder what vaccine he act. “If there was a P in front of Fizer, it would be Puh-fizer.”
He then admitted he wasn’t vaccinated. “Okay, fine, I’m not you bunch of Karens — I’m not getting that stupid shot, alright,” he said. “I don’t want the government putting a tracking advice in my scrotum…I have a brain and let me assure you, I’m totally anti-semitic,” he then added, confusingly.
“We may not agree on this hoax vaccine, but one thing we can agree on is that I know how to diffuse bombs,” he then reminded them — but it turns out it was too little too late, as the bomb went off. Whoops!
Beyond Will’s initial SNL sketch run with MacGruber, the character spawned a highly popular Super Bowl ad in 2009. A year later, Lorne Michaels produced a film starring Will as MacGruber along with Kristen’s Vicki. The iconic character has been most recently revived for a Peacock series that premiered back in December, and per Will’s opening monologue, has been picked up for season two.
On the Jan. 22 show, MacGruber appeared for a second appearance where he once again assured his friends that he had things under control (all while wearing a cut-out face mask). “Don’t worry — I heard your concerns and I’m following all the protocols,” he said, noting the hole in his mask was to avoid “breathing in” toxins.
“There’s no reason to be scared — I’ve done a ton of research and I’m following the science now.” He then ingested several pills and drank bleach from a straw in a bizarre series of moves. He admitted he didn’t have COVID, but horse worms and herpes. “Punked!” he said on the worm situation, proceeding to eat them (turns out they were spaghetti).
“The bomb!” Vicki then reminded. “My information is 100 percent QAnon insane –” he got cut off as the bomb went off a second time. Oops!
Kristen Wiig also popped up to support her friend and ‘MacGruber’ cast mate Will Forte during his first-ever ‘SNL’ hosting gig!
Will Forte, 51, was set to make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on Jan. 22 — but it turns out show runner Lorne Michaels may have made a scheduling error, because Willem Dafoe thought it was his week (he’s scheduled for Jan. 29). The miscommunication came up towards the end of Will’s opening monologue, where he was being played off the stage with music.
“I just want to take a minute to say how much this show has meant to me — I started my career here. It’s always supported me,” the MacGruber star said as the music started. Wait a second, are you playing me off during my own monologue? I’ve waited 12 freaking years for this! Have you guys seen some of the idiots that have hosted this show?” he quipped, before offering to take a question from one person — Lorne.
“Alright, fine — I’ll take one question. You, sir!” he pointed out to the audience, picking Lorne. “I’m so sorry, Will — there’s been a mistake!” Lorne, who created SNL, explained with Willem by his side. “Hey!” a confused Willem, rocking a black short, greeted Will. Will then said, “Wait…but Willem Dafoe? You’re hosting next week!”
“I’m pretty sure it’s this week!” Willem, who recently starred in the new Spider-Man film, said. Lorne then reasoned, “You think I would book someone named Will, then someone name Willem?” Forte seemed stressed with his next emotional outburst: “Oh my god, this is not happening! But you texted me to to come host, Lorne!” The show runner explained it was an “autocorrect” issue — but he really meant to text Willem.
Earlier in the monologue, Kristen Wiig also popped in to support her friend Will Forte. “Tonight, it’s all about me!” he declared just as the former SNL cast member popped up behind him in a mult-colored lamé dress. “Well, I’m so excited to me here…I flew in for this!” she said to Will, to suggested maybe it was “not a good time.” She then hilariously said, “Well, back to North Korea…it was really hard to get out” as she sauntered off the stage. “I don’t love that she got more applause than when I came out!” Will told the audience.
The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ alum showed off her style in a revealing ensemble as she was spotted solo amid rumors she reunited with her rapper ex.
Ashley Benson is certainly giving a reason for G-Eazy to get back together with her, if they haven’t reconciled already! The Pretty Little Liars alum, 32, looked simply gorgeous as she stepped out to run some errands in Los Angeles on Friday (January 21). Rocking a tiny orange crop top and skimpy daisy dukes, the actress — who split with the rapper back in February of 2021 — showed off her flawless figure for the daytime outing. She paired the casual look with a black leather motorcycle jacket, black sneakers, sunglasses and an oversized purple bag. Allowing her natural beauty to shine, she went virtually makeup free and swept her trademark sandy blonde locks up in a messy bun.
The outing comes after Ashley was spotted with G-Easy over a week ago in West Hollywood. The pair looked like they were getting quite cozy during the nighttime excursion. Ashley donned a stylish black overcoat with a crisscross patterned shirt underneath for the date, while G-Easy kept it cool in a grey hoodie and brown leather jacket.
The sighting comes after the pair were seen grabbing some lunch in the tony neighborhood of Los Feliz in Los Angeles the day after Christmas, according to reports. The news may come as no surprise to fans, as Ashley was also snapped in April getting into the “Lights and Camera” hitmaker’s black Ferrari in Pasadena, California, per the Daily Mail. The former couple can’t seem to keep it in the “former” category with all these public outings!
Back in February of 2021, Ashley and G-Easy reportedly called it off after being hot and heavy for almost 9 months. Eagle-eyed followers noticed at the time that the pair, who first sparked romance rumors in May 2020, unfollowed each other on Instagram. Although there was speculation the breakup came out of nowhere, a source close to Ashley told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that there was a reasonable answer to why the pair called it quits.
“Ashley broke up with G-Eazy because their relationship got to a point where they were arguing more often than not, and the romance had just lost its spark,” the source explained. “They fell for each other quickly in the beginning.” The insider went on to say that Ashley’s friends thought their relationship was an “odd pairing” after her two-year relationship with girlfriend Cara Delevingne. It also came down to the couple having “different views of the future.” “Ashley knew that it would be very hard for him to settle down so she decided to separate,” the source added.
