Man charged months after 28-year-old found dead in Missouri woods

POTOSI, Mo. — A Potosi mother would not accept that her son died by suicide last March. After nearly a year of demanding answers, there’s been an arrest for her son’s murder.

Kim Little will never forget her 28-year-old son’s last text message, in which he named a person he was with and said, “Help me please.”

“The coroner was telling me the day of my son’s autopsy that they were thinking it was a suicide,” Little explained.

Her son, Christian Hildebrandt, had special needs but lived independently until he was found in the woods, stabbed to death on March 11, 2021. As FOX 2 reported in September, Hildebrandt’s mother refused to accept it was suicide.

Little said, “If I’d have just shut up and accepted what they told me in the beginning this would have never got done and I think getting you involved is what really pushed it over the edge when they knew they couldn’t hide.”

The Sheriff told FOX 2 at the time that they were investigating it as a homicide and that he’d even brought in the Major Case Squad. About ten months since the death, Derek Politte has been arrested and charged for Hildrebrandt’s murder. Kim Little took a picture of the 58-year-old suspect being walked into the courthouse.

“I had kind of mixed emotions Chris,” Little said. “On one hand it’s like finally, it’s what I’ve been saying all along got heard, but I wish we weren’t here to begin with.”

The felony complaint includes Hildebrandt’s final mysterious text message that read, “Help me please left with Derek policy.”

The court record further explains, “Talk-to-text functions on cellular devices will commonly replace the word Politte with the word policy.”

She said Hildebrandt was excited about a job proposition from Politte who was going to pick him up that day.

An officer wrote that Politte gave police contradictory statements and that when investigators found Hildebrandt dead, “His denim jacket was located underneath his upper body with both sleeves turned inside-out, indicating some type of struggle.”

A judge today ruled the defendant will remain in custody on a $1 million bond.

Little sighed in reaction saying, “The breath I took, I think I held my breath until he said that. I hope in the wake of this I’m able to live up to what Christian was – in his honor.”

The defendant’s preliminary hearing is set for April 15.

What’s next for Ellen DeGeneres as her talk show goes off the air?

What’s next for Ellen DeGeneres as her talk show goes off the air?

Sixteen-time Emmy Award winner Ellen DeGeneres bid farewell to daytime-TV viewers on Thursday during the series finale of her long-running talk show. And it could be a while before audiences see her again on the big — or small — screen.

After more than 3,000 episodes, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” host isn’t jumping on any major projects right away — even though she’s had “an incredible offer” lined up for months. Instead, she’s taking the advice of former daytime TV queen and pal Oprah Winfrey to take time “to sit and reflect,” even though she concedes that she’s not very good at it.

“I am going to try to take her advice, which is, ‘Don’t do anything for a year. No matter how good the offer is, just sit for a year,’” DeGeneres said in a Hollywood Reporter interview published Wednesday. “And I’ll tell you, I have an incredible offer right now that I actually got several months before I finished. It’s really, really hard to say no to and I’m asking to delay it because I am really trying to sit still. This is my first self-imposed break. The last one was not.”

That “last one” refers to the three-year break she took from television in the late 1990s after she came out on her hit ABC sitcom, “Ellen,” and then faced a backlash and abrupt cancellation by the network.

“And three years at the time seemed like an eternity but, looking back on it, it was a blip, and so I can do one year. I’m going to start traveling in a couple of weeks and try to enjoy my time,” the host said.

This time around, a workplace scandal was a major catalyst in the once-beloved program’s undoing and could eclipse its legacy. The syndicated show ended Thursday with an appearance from actor Jennifer Aniston, the show’s first and now final guest, and performances from Pink and Billie Eilish.

The 64-year-old comedian has said she’s also being offered private gigs and Las Vegas jobs. She’s unsure yet whether she’ll return to stand-up comedy or acting but is planning to produce documentaries. In fact, she’s traveling to Rwanda in a few weeks where she’s opening a 12-acre campus focused on saving wild mountain gorillas. While there, she’ll be shooting a documentary about the operation.

DeGeneres is also contracted for another comedy special for Netflix to follow up 2018‘s “Relatable,” THR reported, and is contemplating a potential film role.

Elsewhere in DeGeneres’ THR interview, the host acknowledged the “very, very difficult” scandal that engulfed her show in 2020 with allegations of a toxic work environment.

DeGeneres said that she had planned to end the daytime show three years ago but was talked into carrying on with it. And now it’s “for sure the right time” to end it.

“There was a lot that happened during that time that was unfortunate, but it is what it is — you go through stuff in life and you just keep learning and growing. That’s how I have to look at it. But it’s definitely time to stop. And the producers, we’ll all stay in touch. Andy [Lassner] still texts me at least three times a day,” she said.

DeGeneres added: “I have to just trust that whatever happened during that time, which was obviously very, very difficult, happened for a reason. I think that I learned a lot, and there were some things that came up that I was shocked and surprised by. It was eye-opening, but I just trust that that had to happen.”

Will There Be A Season 4 Of Who Killed Sara

Will There Be A Season 4 Of Who Killed Sara

Season 3 of the hit Mexican series, Who killed Sara? (¿Quién mató a Sara?), dropped 18 May 2022 and dropped all our jaws. The series of Spanish-language thrillers have had people on edge since it was first released in March 2021. It has a skillfully crafted suspense story to make you come back for more. It is a binge-worthy series because it is very addictive.

The series has Crime, suspense, Thriller, Mystery, drama, action, and even some romance. This series is a full package, and no wonder why it is watched by many. The trailer dropped about a month back with some crucial information, like if the show will have a season 4.

Is This The Last Season?

Unfortunately, the show will not have a season 4, and season 3 is supposed to be the final season, as stated in the trailer. The creators have confirmed that this is the end and with the very question in the title of the series answered, what else is left anyway.

Unlike the last two seasons, the ending is very close, not leaving any cliffhangers. A sort of a happily ever after and closure for some of the characters. So I doubt there is much of anything left to explore, and it would be a waste to drag the series around unnecessarily. Rather should be put to rest as it seems right. However, Alex and Eliza’s hot chemistry would be thoroughly missed.

What Is “Who Killed Sara?” About?

Who killed Sara? It is a Spanish-language crime thriller series about a man named Alex, whose sister was killed during an outing with friends in the lake beside Alex’s rich friend and Sara’s boyfriend’s house. And Alex serves 18 years in prison for his sister’s death. After getting out of the prison, he plans to make the killer, who he believes is his rich friend, Rodolfo and his father, who covered it up, pay for their crimes.

But everything Alex thought is flipped upside down as the series moves on. In his quest to find who killed Sara, Alex burrows deep into the world of Crime as he reunites with old friends and makes some new ones. Finally, after three seasons of suspense, Alex, along with us, finds out who killed Sara.

Is Season 3 End, An Satisfying End?

The third season completely disrupts the world; the first two seasons created and expanded it, and if the expansion is appreciated or disapproved of is subjective. What’s even more acquired taste is that we were looking for all the puzzle pieces in the same box because that’s what makes more sense and is loved by people, but it turns out the major pieces that would solve the puzzle aren’t even in the same room.

And with all the questions like who killed Sara? Is Sara dead? Is Marifer Sara’s killer? What is Caesar’s deal? Among many others are answered, making sense for the show to end here and not extend unnecessarily.

The show has well renowned Mexican actors like Manolo Cardona plays the adult Álex Guzmán, Leo Deluglio as young Álex Guzmán, Alejandro Nones is Rodolfo Lazcano and Ximena Lamadrid as Sara Guzmán, Carolina Miranda as Elisa Lazcano, Eugenio Siller as José María “Chema” Lazcano, Ginés García Millán as César Lazcano, Claudia Ramírez as Mariana Lazcano, Héctor Jiménez as Elroy, Mar Carrera as Lucía and Jean Reno as Reinaldo Gómez.

The show was created by José Ignacio Valenzuela, directed by David Ruiz, and produced by Alexis Fridman.
