ST. LOUIS – A woman is in police custody after stabbing another woman overnight at a bar in south St. Louis.

According to a spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred just before 12:10 a.m. Monday at Pepper’s Bar and Grill on Gravois, located in the Bevo neighborhood.

Police said a 41-year-old and 24-year old got into an argument inside the bar which turned physical. The younger woman stabbed the older woman in the chest with a knife.

The victim was rushed to a hospital and said to be in critical condition. The attacker was arrested at the bar.

It’s not clear what led to the fight.
