“My wife called me one day crying and told me about an email that had just arrived informing me that I had won a $139,221 lottery prize,” the anonymous 32-year-old told Michigan lottery
“We agreed not to get too excited just yet, thinking it might be a scam.
He and his wife called the lottery to verify his prize and lost it upon learning the prize was not a scam.

“This award could not have come at a better time for us.”
The Michigan native plans to put his profits into a college fund for their two daughters.
He also told the lottery they will be going on vacation.
This comes as another veteran lotto player racked up two huge jackpots with surprising winning numbers in just four months.
The 67-year-old Maryland man said he was shocked to take home his second win of $50,000 with a quick number pick.
The unnamed winner purchased the winning bonus match 5 ticket for Monday’s drawing at Oceans Market in Ocean City.
The ticket contained two rows of numbers: one that had been his favorite combination and a quick pick.
“I’ve been playing these numbers for years,” the player told Maryland Lottery officials.
The veteran player was amazed when the random quick pick earned him another $50,000, which he added to a previous jackpot.
“It was my time to strike,” he said.
The anonymous winner took home his first prize just a few months ago, in March.
He told officials that his first jackpot went towards his retirement savings and helping his adult children.
His last winnings will go into bills.
This happens after another player’s last-minute guess paid off.
A Virginia man was walking out of a North Carolina store when he felt the urge to turn around and buy a lottery ticket.
Barry Bruce was about to leave Jones Exxon’s Stanley shop when he changed his mind.
The Danville, Virginia man told the North Carolina Education Lottery, “I really wanted to go.
“My mind was just telling me to go back and buy the ticket.”
So he turned around and bought a $25 ticket to Spectacular Riches.
He later learned that his hunch got him a $100,000 jackpot.
“I thought I won $100 at first,” Bruce said.
“I just thought, ‘Wow.’”
He visited the lottery headquarters in North Carolina on Monday to collect his prize money.

After taxes, he took home $71,017.
Bruce plans to use the money to remodel his house and help his family.
