ATLETICO MADRID President Enrique Cerezo has claimed the rumors linking Cristiano Ronaldo to the club are ‘definitely not true’.
Ronaldo is said to be interested in a controversial move to Atlético despite his Real Madrid ties.
But President Cerezo has dismissed reports and insisted a move for the 37-year-old United forward is not an option.
Ronaldo wants out of Old Trafford to continue playing in the Champions League.
But despite rumours, Atlético Madrid were thrilled, Cerezo said DEAL WITH: “I don’t know who invented this story about Cristiano Ronaldo for Atletico Madrid.
“That’s definitely not true.
“It’s practically impossible for him to come to Atlético de Madrid.”
Ronaldo returned to Manchester United’s training ground on Tuesday to hold important talks with the club about his future.
He arrived alongside agent Jorge Mendes, who was said to have been trying to push through a deal with Atletico.
CR7 rolled through the gates of Carrington at 10:45am this morning before departing just before 5:00pm this afternoon.

He decided to go through the back gate after discussing his future with the club.
Ronaldo also attended Erik ten Hag’s post-tour debriefing following United’s trip to Thailand and Australia, according to the Daily Mail.
The Portuguese ace was absent from the tour for family reasons after informing the club he wanted to leave a week before departure.
Atletico have now apparently followed Chelsea and Bayern Munich and have ruled out a move for Ronnie.
