The story follows Cassie Salazar, an aspiring singer-songwriter living with type 1 diabetes, and Luke Morrow, a US Marine preparing for deployment. In a chance encounter, Cassie and Luke meet and they don’t really get on the right foot due to their different worldviews. But when they realize they share a common ground, namely financial debt, they decide to enter into a temporary marriage solely for military gain. However, neither Cassie nor Luke expected their fake relationship to turn into something real over time.
