You learn a thing or two by playing Dwayne Johnson-you just have to ask Uli Latukefu.
The Young Rock The star shares the most valuable life lesson he learned playing the wrestling legend early in his career on the hit NBC series.
“There are many times we all face when you want to progress in something — your career maybe — and you have an idea of what you should be to be successful,” Latukefu exclusively told E! News, “and for me, the best thing is to be yourself. It’s a cliché and it’s probably easier said than done, but if you can maintain who you are the best you can can, I think that’s probably the biggest thing about the show. People resonate with you when you’re true to yourself.”
The series, which is currently airing its third season, will chronicle the creation of Johnson’s WWE character “The Rock.” “He really decides he wants to be himself and the fans really respond to that,” Latukefu explained. “He’s moving into ‘The Rock’ this year. It’s been such a great journey because a lot of those things that we love about Dwayne are really coming into focus this season.”
