The Telangana High Court on Saturday rejected a plea by the BJP to suspend notices given to party general secretary BL Santhosh by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the alleged poaching attempt by TRS MPs.

Hearing a motion filed by the BJP in Telangana seeking suspension of the notice issued by the SIT under Section 41A of the CrPC to Santhosh, the court said the BJP leader will co-operate with the SIT authorities, while ordering that he not be arrested until further notice.

The SIT investigating the alleged poaching attempt by TRS MPs summoned Mr Santhosh to appear before it for questioning on November 21.

In his notice to Mr Santhosh, served at the BJP’s Karnataka headquarters at Malleswaram in Bengaluru, Investigator B Gangadhar warned the BJP leader that failure to appear before the SIT for questioning could also result in his arrest .

The BJP National General Secretary was not available for comment.

“During the investigation, it is revealed that there are reasonable grounds to question you to ascertain from you the facts and circumstances, in relation to the present investigation,” said the police officer in his published opinion. November 16.

The National General Secretary (Organization) of the BJP has been ordered not to commit any offenses in the future and not to tamper with evidence, threaten, incite or promise anyone who knows the facts of the case.

He was also asked to appear in court and participate in the investigation as necessary and to cooperate with the investigation.

Mr Santhosh has also been banned from traveling abroad without prior permission from the SIT.

A lawsuit was filed by TRS MLA pilot Rohith Reddy, among four lawmakers, against three people – Ramachandra Bharati aka Satish Sharma, Nanda Kumar and Simhayaji Swamy – on October 26.

According to the FIR copy, Rohith Reddy alleged that the defendant offered him Rs 100 crore and in return the lawmaker was to quit the TRS and stand as the BJP candidate in the upcoming Assembly elections.

The Telangana government on November 9 ordered the creation of a seven-member SIT to investigate the alleged poaching of MPs.
