Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt has secured a major win in his lawsuit between a coalition of GOP attorneys general against the FBI and top Biden officials.

A motion for depositions was granted, giving the go-ahead to proceed with depositions from senior Biden administration officials regarding alleged collusion with Big Tech on free speech.

The lawsuit, STATE OF MISSOURI ET AL VERSUS JOSEPH R BIDEN JR ET AL, was filed on May 5, 2022. On October 21, 2022, the motion was granted for the depositions of senior Biden officials under oath.

Schmitt, an elected U.S. senator, shared details of the lawsuit in Saturday’s “Unfiltered with Dan Bongino,” which includes several Biden officials targeted.

According to Schmitt, the lawsuit alleges that the Biden administration coordinated and colluded with social media companies to censor speech, essentially outsourcing something to Big Tech that they cannot do themselves.

Schmitt claimed to have uncovered a vast censorship enterprise that affects the highest levels of government.

“Here’s what we know so far,” he said. “First of all, during COVID, we know senior Facebook people were texting the US Surgeon General saying, ‘Hey, we’ve removed this, what more can we do?’” We know also that there was a special portal created for Big Tech with the government to knock people down and, you know, knock them flat.”

He told Bongino that they were aware of “weekly censorship meetings”.

Schmitt claimed they knew at least one senior FBI official was working with Big Tech companies to talk about the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story.

“He was on a podcast talking about it himself,” Schmitt said. “Joe Rogan, you know, had Zuckerberg and kind of alluded to that anyway.”

Schmitt further revealed that they will be taking depositions from prominent Biden administration officials, including NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki.

Schmitt told Bongino that this should not happen in the United States and that they are proceeding with the depositions.

“It’s important to step back and recognize that the First Amendment protects our basic, God-given right to express ourselves, the right to express an opinion, even if someone doesn’t like it,” said Schmitt. “That’s what the First Amendment is all about.”
